^^^I didn't think I'd find any good examples in here, but I think that this is a good one. There are too many people like this who will find a way to argue any real criticism toward their favorite artist, even if they realize it's real talk.

Well, I would say that that just makes you a young cat or somebody who knows nothing about rap at all. But thenagain I could see why they could be labeled as a !!rider in a sense because they like the music for all of the wrong reasons and know nothing about it.

You ain't really getting your point across clearly dog, try again.

I do know what you mean though. You mean where cats proclaim Mos, Talib, Common, etc to be 'conscious rappers' but don't really know what the !! a conscious rapper is.

Cats who think that they like 'hip-hop' because they listen to a certain brand of artist who makes a certain type of music. But really they are just brainwashed into thinking they are listening to the best 'hip-hop' because everybody proclaims these artists to be real hip-hop.

They don't have their own opinion / mind but are following what the general concensus seems to be.

And this is by NO MEANS me saying that Talib, Mos and Common aren't real hip-hop. All of them are real cats and amongst my favorite rappers, but I am just trying to clear this cat's point (which I hope I did properly).

I dont get it why when people think of hip hop there first thought is music. First off HIP HOP IS NOT A FORM A OF MUSIC! Hip Hop is a culture, a state of mind, or a way of life. Its the way someone walk, talk, dress, dance, and think that makes up what hip hop is. So how can all you say what a hip hop !!rider is if most of you dont even know what hip hop is?.....and again RAP IS A FORM A MUSIC! Hip Hop is a way of life.
