Weezy Takes 08, just purely cause he brought hip hop back to the masses, which other rappers had tried to do and failed. Also Carter 2 was classic in 05, but 50 released Massacre in 05 50 was big then hm ugh kanye Late Registration in 2005 too. But man, Em takes 2000 with MMLP was amazing. Jay z 2001 with Blueprint.

2000 - Eminem - MMLP
2001 - Jay-Z - The Blueprint
2002 - Nas - Stillmatic (It was released Dec. of 2001 so I count it as 02)
2003 - 50 Cent - Get Rich
2004 - Kanye West - The College Dropout
2005 - Kanye West - Late Registration
2006 - This is hard one for me. ghost dropped fishscale. lupe dropped food & liquor. game dropped doctors advocate. I guess I'd give it to Lupe tho.
2007 - Common or Pharaohe Monch - Finding Forever and Desire dropped.
2008 - I'll give this to wayne. he dropped a !!ty album but he was all over the place and he had a huge movement
2009 - Raekwon or Cormega - Both albums were AOTY for me

this is all of the top of my head. if i had time to think this would prolly be very different.
I'd also like to say Kanye is the Best New Artist of the Decade.

Favorite rappers? Free and Priest are far from my fav rappers. I picked them because they genuinely had more substantial consistant and impressive albums, Or i could just jump on the bandwagon, lie to myself, and pick whoever sold the most [pic]

that was actually a good list nicca. someone had oj da juiceman in their list and you hate on this list instead. but yea i wouldnt give it to lil wayne in 08 but u kinda have to with how much of an impact he made in the mainstream game. he probably had over twenty songs easily on the radio so yea i guess you have to give it to him, but as far as rapping i dont think he was the best, but the best artist, yes. and then whats wrong with common and pharoahe monch, 2 of the best of all time. i wouldnt give 09 to cormega, but raekwon is a solid pick at that spot. everythin else on the list is on point. there aint notthing wrong with bumpin old heads as long as they continue to make dope music. You know what, along with other artists for each year since 06 to 09 i gotta throw Max B in there... nicca was having a serious snow ball effect, his work ethic is/was serious and not just that but he was consistent as hell....
