The LOX announces "We Are The Streets 2"
24 topic by GOD999 - 12-08-2012, 11:25 PM

Jadakiss also speaks on his current relationship with DMX and Ruff Ryders.

Jadakiss is hard at work in the studio, working on a handful of projects including a solo album and a new project from The LOX. During an interview with Montreality, the raspy rapper said that he's halfway finished recording his next studio LP Top 5 Dead or Alive, stating that he's eyeing a first quarter release for the disc.

"It's coming baby, first quarter. Anywhere, February, March, April... You know, somewhere around there where it feels right," he said. "It's halfway finished now. When I finish this tour, I'll go home and finish the rest of it and then we strategize the marketing plan and get that thing out to the people."

He also revealed that the new LOX album will be titled We Are the Streets 2, which was previously rumored to be titled New L.O.X. Order. He said that he's hoping that the group drops the LP in 2013. "Hopefully, [next] year sometime," he said. "We probably got like six or seven songs done for that as well."

Jada also turned his attention to his longtime collaborator DMX, recalling the last time he bumped into Dark Man X and where their relationship stands. "During the Rock the Bells tour. He's doing good, he's making money, he's healthy, he's breathing. He's taking care of his kids, his dogs, he's there. We never broke up. It's just everybody doing their own thing. It's like a house full of kids that turned grown and had they own kids. That's all it is."

Coming 2018.

Seriously, they've been working on a 3rd album since about 2005-2006. I'll believe it when I see it.

people love sleeping on Louch.............in reality he's not that far behind Ghost and Jada as far as lyricism and he's a few notches over Jada when it comes to album quality.

theres also times where he's k!lled SP and Jada on a track like on MIghty D-Block

anyway, I hope this sh*t is really coming, like its been said, they've been working on a third album for the better part of a decade now

These Lox niccas still trying ? They fell off so hard, I mean as a group. When's the last time they had a hit ?? For them to come out, they just gotta make good music. At some point they forgot how to do that. Their content got kinda watered down. Just be real and the fans will support you...

I use to always tell n*ggaz back in the early LOX days that sheek was my favorite. He's style is unorthodox you never know how he's going to spit. Plus he can really make a song. I guess since he plays the business side of things & stays on the rode more so than the rap he gets over shadowed. Sheek got bangers though & he still at one time was the most consistent with releasing the most material. He seems to be the only one that still has fun with it. They're all my favorites for different reasons though.

In all honesty I used to didn't like Louch. When I 1st was hearin D-Block after 2 Gunz Up he was the worst. Then I peeped their old sh*t and he was k!llin it. Then about 2006-07 when he really linked up w/ Ghostface he started k!llin it again. It's just that during that period from about 03-06 he was garbaggio

I remember him sayin in an interview that Styles and Kiss kept encouraging him to get on the mic more, he was too focused on the biz side, plus I think Ghostface put the charge on him to step it up.
