tj maxx and marshalls are owned by the same company,TJX ....I worked at Marshalls, never buy your !! from macys/dillards/nordstroms...same !! at Marshalls for half the price

One secret TJ Maxx and Marshalls wont tell you is... the Ralph Lauren, etc. (other name brands), !! they sell isn't of the same quality as the Ralph Lauren stuff in stores like Macy's, Nordstrom, etc. The brands' manufacturers intentionally cut corners, do less stitching, use lower grade material, etc., so that they can get the prices low enough to sell to discount retailers.

Store's like Macy's have higher quality requirements and pay more. Thus, they get better quality !! of the same brand.
