People bring up the fact that he hasn't dropped an album way too much, he's been facing label politics since 2005 so he's probably more educated in that field than any of the artists he mentions in interviews. Most of you just wanna clown him and say "dude hasn't dropped an album (insert pointless overused gif)" when it really has nothing to do with him speaking on other artists. That said, I think he's right in the sense that Cole and Elec don't have an X factor that will propel them up the charts, but he's wrong for saying they're just lyrical and nothing else. Cole does production, knows how to harmonize (even though he's not a singer) and can construct songs well, as well as have good lyrics. As far as Jay Elec, his following and co-signs speak for themselves, he puts out great music (once every 2 years....) and I don't think he's trying to have Kanye-esque success or anything. Just seems like Saigon has settled down with the idea that he's not gonna be selling a million albums first week, and everyone knows Cole and Elec will put up modest numbers too, that's not what sells. Still, Sai's commentary doesn't come off as COMPLETELY negative, everyone just dislikes it because people think Cole and Elec ARE gonna be the next big thing, when it's not really likely. Sai should worry about his own music though.
