The MUSIC has always been the foundation of HipHop, the DJ came first and the MC came second during the early years of the culture.

You can sell an instrumental CD of Alchemist or Preemo but you cant sell an accapella CD of T.I. lyrics.

Good production with average lyrics will always outsell Good lyrics with average production because the beat, and the groove is what gets the heads noddin' and the party started.

I prefer a nice mix of both.
