Released September 14, 1999

Producer DJ Paul, Juicy J

Ghetty Green is the debut album by rapper Project Pat, released September 14, 1999,on Hypnotize Minds.
Patrick Houston, better known as Project Pat is an American rapper originating from Memphis, Tennessee. He is the older brother of Juicy J, co-founder of the Three 6 Mafia
Then known almost exclusively for his affiliation with Three 6 Mafia, Project Pat introduced his large self to the world on Ghetty Green, the solo debut album he recorded with producers DJ Paul and Juicy J. Like most other Hypnotized Minds releases during the late '90s, Ghetty Green raised the bar for hardcore rap. While Three 6 Mafia had always come hard on its albums, Project Pat isn't a collective like the Mafia but rather one man -- a very large man with a large temper and large presence. Thus, his debut was a big one and, although Ghetty Green doesn't have a widely known song like "Chickenhead," it does offer several appearances by the Cash Money Millionaires, who were similarly making a name for themselves in the South at the time. If you want to hear the roots of Memphis hardcore rap, you need to hear this album. It's a landmark.

If I'm doing bad, I know what to do (What?)
Pull that trigger back and take my loot, (that's right)
Don't trust me ya'll, cause Pats a clown,
You can come up missin', for the bricks and pounds, (that's right)
My stomach been touchin' my back, I'm out here bustin' my back,
Tryna make these few ends meet, Ya'll ni##as don't hear me yo (HUH UH)
I don't care about goin' no jail, I gotta eat out here,
I gotta alotta folks, I gotta feed out here,
Black Sheep of my fam, that's why I go HAM,
Don't care what you say about me, A hood ni##a I am,
I swear for livin' God, ni##a better come off that cheese,
K barrel gonna go to your legs, and blowin' off them knees

North North Pat still go ham ni##as. Get with the program.
