| It's not your average top ten, but it's what i've listened to and enjoyed the most. Mad Skillz - From Where Ras Kass - Soul On Ice Slum Village - Fantastic Vol. 2 The Roots - Illadelph Halflife/Things Fall Apart (both flawless) Biggie - Life After [rip]/Ready To Die (admire them equally) Diamond D - Stunts, Blunts and Hiphop O.C. - Word...Life Smif and Wessun - Dah Shinin' AZ - Do Or Die Dr. Octagon - Dr. Octagonecologist The "ALMOST MADE IT" list... but comparable in quality. Illmatic, Pun's Capital Punishment, 36 Chambers and ODB's Return of the 36, SlaughterHouse, Moment Of Truth, Hard To Earn, Slim Shady Lp, Black on Both Sides, Resurrection, Low End Theory, Atliens, The Infamous, Great Adventures of Slick Rick, All Eyes On Me, Firing Squad, secks Style, 7 Day Theory, Straight Outta Compton, DoggyStyle, 3 Feet High and Rising, De La Is Dead, Me Against The World, Diplomatic Immunity, Organized Konfusion self-titled, Stillmatic, The Blueprint, Deltron 3030, Paid In Full, Long Live the Kane, Strictly Business, Critical Beatdown, Ghetto Dope, 400 Degrees, Breaking Atoms, Mecca And The Soul Brother, Main Ingredient, E. 1999 Eternal, Liquid Swords, Only Built 4, Vol 3 Life and Times of SC, Extinction Level Event, Chronic 2001, Blackstar self-titled, Midnight Marauders, Harlem World, The Listening, Do You Want More??!?, Hell On Earth, LifeStyles Of The Poor and Dangerous, Whut? The Album, Muddy Waters, 40 Days and 40 Nights, Speed Of Light, The Awakening (lord finesse if you don't know), The Lost Tapes, Naughty By Nature (first album), Regulate: G Funk Era, Enta Da Stage, Run DMC (debut selftitled), 187 He Wrote, It's Dark and Hell Is Hot, We Can't Be Stopped, I Am, 4 Tay's Don't Fight The Feeling. (Damn, i have a lot of music). I know there are a lot of albums i haven't heard, and if i had them, they would probably have been on that list. Shiit like Runaway Slave, OC's Jewelz, Step In The Arena, Suns Rises In The East, Licensed To Ill, Radio, Livin' Proof, etc. Some classics, i just didn't enjoy, so they aren't, in my book, classic material. Such as Southernplayalistic, It Was Written, Straight Out The Jungle, No One Can Do It Better, One For All, Amerikkkas Most Wanted, Return Of The Boom Bap, The Diary, The Score, Reasonable Doubt (wayyy too much filler), T.I.M.E., The Chronic, OGC's The Storm, Strictly For My N199as, The Miseducation of Lauren Hill (eww, this album reeks), Supreme Clientele, Bizzarre Ride to the Pharcyde, Here Comes the Lords, Fat Joe's Represent, Vol 2. Hard Knock Life, Tical, Blackout! (some like it a lot) and some other shiit most folks swear is 5 mic status. Anywho, that's just my take on the trite (but fun to argue upon) top ten lists of hiphop albums. Last edited by GoAirplane; 12-28-2004 at 03:44 AM.. | |
