| It's just respect. Why niccas have a problem with legends respecting another legend. He gave good reasons to justify why he said Jay deserves his props. Jay (it dont matter if dude fell off or not) deserves his props for what he did with the game and beyond. Real niccas gon see that. Don't mean you gotta like him. Trust.. | I think this went over a lot of these posters heads. He's talking about how previous people, ie Martin Luther, Malcolm X, all died to bring this opportunity to blacks, and not just them, but all minorities. So for Jay-Z to have so much influence and power, that's what they died for. To bring minorities up with the whites. Well, to open the door for that opportunity anyway. That's what Nas is thanking Jay-Z for. Jay is one modern day example of that. | |
