when jay-z signed Nas to defjam he must have cooked the books and gave a lump sum up front, i hate how dudes like nas and prodigybig ups jay......its corny, fukk jay, he fell off, and he's overrated

It's just respect. Why niccas have a problem with legends respecting another legend. He gave good reasons to justify why he said Jay deserves his props. Jay (it dont matter if dude fell off or not) deserves his props for what he did with the game and beyond. Real niccas gon see that. Don't mean you gotta like him. Trust.. Jay feels the same way about Nas' music

[pic][pic] There's still people like this that are still in denial huh? But in real life you use terms like "ether," all the while not realizing that you're backing the fact that your favorite rapper lost. [pic]

Jay & Nas been upping each other for the last few years like this. It's amazing too see. Yet y'all find some way to flame a artist even when they're giving props where props are due. [pic] You cats need counseling.

I think this went over a lot of these posters heads.

He's talking about how previous people, ie Martin Luther, Malcolm X, all died to bring this opportunity to blacks, and not just them, but all minorities.

So for Jay-Z to have so much influence and power, that's what they died for. To bring minorities up with the whites. Well, to open the door for that opportunity anyway. That's what Nas is thanking Jay-Z for. Jay is one modern day example of that.
