CD was great because it had ghostwriters, great features and hot beats
you kidding me? how old were you in 96? by the time BIG died jay z was already being mentioned with the best rappers alive at the time. BIG even cosigned him. and he had enough of an impact for pac to mention him a few times on different songs. i know jay didnt become a superstar or whatever until vol 2, but he had enough buzz to be mentioned with the greats by then. and this was before anybody could hop on myspace and get themselves out there with mixtapes and !!, it was when you actually had to have some skill to get recognized..

[pic] Pac mentioned alot of niccas. that don't make them the best rappers alive

[pic]@ any1 mentioning Jay as one of the best when BIG was alive

Nas,Big,Wu and Mobb Deep were all considered better then Jay AT THAT TIME thats not including Rakim,Daddy Kane,KRS and G Rap

in 96/97 Reasonable doubt had 0 buzz. Jay even says it on Vol.1 that every1 slept on him

no-one mentioned Jay as one of the Greats until Jay called himself the best rapper alive.. and I'm a Jay fan

Outside of his Ego and overall persona....Kanye is an undeniable, talented artist....and gets underrated and over looked because of his new found personality.

............

College Dropout - Classic

Late Registration - Classic

Graduation - Above Average

808s and Heartbreak - Above Average
