More hated Southern Hip-Hop or Eastcoast Mixtape,Smack DVD rap?

People seem to do alot of hating on the south saying it's not lyrical I agree for the most part, but it's fun a lot of cats down there make songs for a place where many of us frequent THE CLUB!! Think of how horrible the club scene would be if we were relying on any other region/genere. It is also the BEST ridin music which is key!

Me personally would much rather listen to a uninspired South artist then any Eastcoast Mixtape/Smack DVD/Battle Punchline rapper.

That !! to me is the worse, these niccas trying to sell the fact they the Hardest nicca alive is boring and wack and 99% of them nicca can't make a conceptual song where they can stick to one topic, they end up selling rocks on the corner, k!lling somebody, riding in a car the color of the smilies, !!ing a hoe... On a song titled "Momma a miss U".

I can never watch anymore smack DVD because these dumb niccas feel the need to flash burners, FOR WHAT?? WHO GIVES A !! THAT YOU GOT YOUR CCW AND WENT TO THE POND SHOP TO BUY A GUN!! That !! is the worse to me.

Sorry if I offended any Eastcoaster but the !! is wack to me, I live in the "D" the most dangerous city in the nation and our hip-hop is not going to just shove that fact down your throat, it's no need to. With that being said Buddens is the only hope for the EC. Peace

you gotta be stupid if u think east coast is mixtape rap...thats the ONLY thing dudes on this board pay attention to from the east is mixtape mixtape mixtape !!...listen to underground, theres a good reason for alot of east coast dudes bein underground...cause mainstream is ruled by club bangers/ dumbed down rhymes...and guess who owns the mainstream...the SOUTH....so there fore...the south is makin garbage...the dudes who listen to mixtape rappers (reed dollaz, papoose, jae millz, saigon, etc) usually havent heard GOOD !!, they jus think its good cause they rhymin about guns/drugs/money...yea theres alot of that happenin over here...but aint everybody rappin about it over here either...

btw, i know somebody gonna come in here and say east coast is makin club bangers too...but compared to how many southern niccas is doin it...its like 10 to 1

^^ Did I say the Eastcoast was all mixtape?? I thought I said "Eastcoast Mixtape, Smack DVD rap." I know that not the only style of EC hip-hop and Club/Ridin music is not the only thing the south has.

BUT I WAS COMPARING THE TWO THEY ARE THE MOST PREVELENT IN THOSE REGIONS. And if you don't think so then your not paying attention.

but you wrong on the lyricism part of the south...if those two groups weren't up front with the snap music mutha !!as couldn't say nothing.

I agree with the thread starter, dudes is sick of those sampled, slown down, no 808 havin beats, songs about "Rep Yo Borough" & "Crack", Jay-Z and Cassidy wanna-be's :sleepy: , seems when nicca's turn 18 in NY they get the "How To Be A NY Emcee Booklet" and inside this book it gives them a basic list of top punchlines and concepts created already and tells them to flip them to suit themselves. The only dude I seen with some range and versatility from NY is Pap, Ali Vegas & Juelz as far as the youngin, and the vets are all old and seem bitter because people aint checkin for them anymore. Nobody wants to hear that ol' NY, hip-hop is about creativity, people only check for nicca's wit that "New & Unheard" that just make them go "DAMN! That's Fresh!". So if NY wants to be on top again I suggest quit following that old formula, let it go, haven't nicca's noticed it aint workin anymore! The game has changed "roll with it or rollover" and quit hatin on "South" & "Westcoast" nicca's all the time.
