I have no idea, chief, LOL. I mean it's cool to have substance in your music and raise awareness, but once you start calling other people out you have to step up. All of that talk about putting money up to start programs doesn't come across as something that he wanted to do out of his own interest. It seemed as if he said all of that to one up DL (I'm not saying that's the case, but that's what it appears to be in my opinion).

It's Lupe's constitutional right to not vote... I have no problem with that... but if you don't vote you don't have the right to !! about the state of affairs, either.

And I like his music, but every time he opens his mouth somewhere other than a recording booth I just shake my head. He might be the most conflicted, confused man in the music industry. And he can spare the "400 years of pain and agony" nonsense; it's not like he suffered any of it personally. Those people suffered and overcame that pain and agony to give him the civil rights he is so cavalierly brushing off as beneath him.

He sounds like a faux revolutionary fool with all of his contradictory nonsense. But he can rap really well, so he's got that going for him, I guess...

No offense taken as I did understand the post. There is never a good reason to call brothers and sisters "black nicca anything". Black people should have opinions and discuss them freely without calling each other niccas. The disrespect is awful. This dude claims to be all militant, but has done zero to create or support any substantial political movement. All hot air

you don't have a right to !! if you vote & things go from bad to worse like they have been for a decade + neither because you've been warned by myself & other intelligent ppl countless times that your vote doesn't count...

Real Talk IMO! I think Lupe is a !!in weirdo; but i'd have to agree with him on this subject. I never vote; it's like voting for tweedle dee or tweedle dumb, heckle and jeckle, dumb and dumber.

Now if it came to the US against communism, socialism, nazism or something to that nature, then i would vote. But republican or democrat? Does it really matter? Behind closed doors, they are slapping high fives and !!in each other on some illuminati !!! Yeah they make the general public think it matters...

What wounds do Black Americans today have to heal from? last I checked a Black man is president, Jay Z and Oprah are worth a Kajillion dollars, Black students are given the same resources and and opportunities as White students.

sure, racism is still very alive and we must f!ght through it. However, to fall back on slavery and act as if somebody owes us something is wrong and lazy. Imagine if martin thought that way? Imagine is Malcolm thought that way? Where the !! would we be now?the fact that Lupe is on his high horse says alot about how far we have come as a society.

republicans are doing everything possible to keep minorities from voting. If our votes didn't matter, they wouldn't do this. Its funny how much Lupe has in common with our oppressors.......

I disagree

to me, if youre out there voting, then you lose some of the right to !! about the way things are. You perpetuate the same bull!! over and over just by voting to keep it all in place. Like if you know a guy is kinda slimy, but he's the lesser of two evils, how can you then turn around and !! about how slimy the guy you elected is? You knew he was !!ed up from the beginning and you put him into power

people would do themselves a lot more good in the long run if they were willing to withhold their vote and make these politicians really address their concerns

Wow, how easy is it for cats to talk !! now. I wonder if you'd be the type to march with Martin and f!ght with Malcolm..or if you'd be the type to stay home and complain about how nothing will ever change.

A man's heart is evident through his actions, not words......
They fought and died for our rights to vote cause blacks weren't allowed to vote....but because they fought for our rights to vote doesn't mean that our votes count/matter. We all have the right to vote, but like I said it doesn't mean that it counts....I think Michael Moore is speaking on votes counting more than us having the rights to vote...
