The first week's numbers for Slaughterhouse's Shady Records debut are in. I thought you would be interested in this interview I had with the SH Crew while backstage at Rock The Bells in New Jersey last weekend.

Joe Budden of Slaughterhouse explains why WELCOME TO OUR HOUSE album and ON THE HOUSE mixtape don't sound the same. Then he tells you what you can do about it.

This nicca did a song with Marques Houston, !! you expect? Truth is, this dude Joey the clown ALWAYS wanted to be commercial but is a failure couldnt make it at Def Jam so he linked up with a super group to revive his career. He couldnt go plat with a Just Blaze beat at a time that everybody was going Platinum. Then he gets dropped, and started adopting this "underground savior" fascade. His gullible[..] fans fall for anything, you cant even get these niccas to admit that he k!lled his own child. So how do you reason with these fools?

As a Joe Budden fan I took that !! as downright !!ed up. Your core audience is what made you who you are today and what your mostly known for. Your core audience gave your first album an honest[..]essment when others simply waved it off as being trash. Your core audience pushed for more of the Mood Muzik series. I'd be happier if they'da added some substance as to why the album is pop rather than jumping on the fans screaming they dont give a !!, because they know that !! sucks.

Bruh, the fans need to use common sense. Want to know why the album is pop? Want to know why the mixtape was dope and the album was average at best? Look at who they're signed under...and consider his history.......

Ding Ding ding!!!!

What the "fans" wanted was for them to go against the grain of making LPs for "Consumers" and make a straight underground gutta rappity Rap LP. not realizing that all your fave Mc's have made well crafted LP's for fans and Consumers.

Jay-Z had Money Cash Hoes & Hard Knock Life

Fab had Breath & Baby

Nas had Still Dreaming & Can't Forget About You

SlaughterHouse had Good-Bye & My Life

See the Pattern?

U can tell he's embarrassed by the album with such an angry reaction [pic]

I guess their next album (if any) will be pop sounding too because that's their thing now and there's clearly nothin wrong with it [pic]

Listen to his verse on "Gone". He obviously shares the same frustrations as his fans. We have to be realistic though, do you expect Slaughterhouse to throw Eminem under the bus? They're not going to come out and verbally tell you they dislike the album, why hurt sales or potential tour dates?
