Honestly. I don't think Nas is top 10. There is this conventional wisdom that everybody thinks they have to put Nas, Rakim, and Eminem in every top 10 list. Nas has had some cla#sics. There is no denying that, but his catalog is so drowned out by horrible, uncreative songs and albums. He is tarnished by that in my opinion. Eminem lyrically is probably as good as you can get, but he raps about literally nothing. Rakim had one cla#sic album and everybody goes ape !!. These guys are the Ben Gordons of rap. Having one or two good seasons doesn't make up for the other horrible seasons.

I would put many rappers ahead of Nas....Scarface, Ludacris, Eminem, Lupe, Q-Tip, Beanie, Syles, AZ...

Guys on here are going to act like The Fix by Scarface wasn't one of the best albums of all time....

Guys on here are gonna act like AZ doesn't have 4 cla#sic albums...(I guess AZ just isn't "cool" anymore)

These and hate is the new love are the only ones that i listened to throughly and enjoyed but he got boring to me after that. I don't like him as a personal preference and i find it funny when boxden just picks on him for no real reason other than his obnoxious demeanor. He is obnoxious/corny demeanor overshadows his lyricism and makes his presence on other artists songs (not excluding his own) dismissive.
