Our third aeon, that's what the fu*k we on

In the religion of Thelema, it is believed that the history of humanity can be divided into a series of Aeons, each of which was accompanied by its own forms of "magical and religious expression".[1] The concept of the Aeons was reinterpreted by the English occultist Aleister Crowley (18751947), the founder of Thelema, who claimed to have learned it from The Book of the Law, a sacred text he believed had been dictated to him by his Holy Guardian Angel Aiwass in 1904. The Book of the Law is divided into three sections, each of which describes a different aeon.

The first of these was the Aeon of Isis, which Thelemites believed occurred during prehistory and which saw mankind worshipping a Great Goddess, symbolised by the ancient Egyptian deity Isis. In Thelemite beliefs, this was followed by the Aeon of Osiris, a period that took place in the classical and medieval centuries, when humanity worshiped a singular male god, symbolised by the Egyptian god Osiris, and was therefore dominated by patriarchal values. The Book also a.sserted that in 1904, humanity would enter into a third aeon, the Aeon of Horus, which was controlled by the child god, symbolised by Horus. In this new aeon, Thelemites believe that humanity will enter a time of self-realization and self-actualization.

Within the Thelemite religion, each of these aeons is believed to be "characterized by their [own specific] magical formula", the use of which "is very important and fundamental to the understanding of... Thelemic Magick".

Crowley had a belief system that he fully practiced in his life, and Jay-Z is a follower of that life.

You on the other hand, are trying to seek attention with your avatar.

YOU move along.

I hear that.

I thought Kanye's "never going to hell" remark was the worst of it, but I was wrong.

Im not to much of a Kanye or Jay Z fan...and I thought WTT was very average and have deleted it since the week it came out....im good on that bullsh*t..

But my thing is when I come in these threads........I understand youre all trying to say theyre demonic and got evil intentions an blah blah blah......but for a guy like myself who barely believes in religion.....youre all demonic and got evil intentions an blah blah blah...but the thing is when I listen to a musician I could give 2 fu*ks about what he believes in and what religion he follows...I mean nobody was wondering what religion Marvin Gaye or Elvis....or Sly and the Family Stone...or Curtis Mayfield were following....nobody asked any of them that sh*t....

Who gives 2 fu*ks..either you buy the cd, download it, or not?

Reading through the lyrics, the chorus is boasting of not believing in a God (while claiming to not believe anything), plus mentioning believers in God as possibly not making it out alive in the "wild."

A direct threat, in my opinion.

Jay-Z is calling his lyrics scripture, referring to himself as "Hova the holy ghost", mentioning Plato (the founder of the world's first Mystery School) and his theological superiority, comparing Kanye's beatmaking to Jesus and his carpentry skills

The Dream's part is especially telling:

[The-Dream]
I live by you... desire
I stand by you... walk through the fire
He makes a promise (oath) and gives his body (old life) as a sacrifice as allegiance.

"Walk through the fire" = the phoenix ("new life") rising from the ashes

Your loooooooooooove, is my scripture
A direct reference to Crowley's "The Book of the Law"

"Love under will, love under the law."

"Do What Thou Wilt shall be the whole of the law."

"There is no law beyond Do What Thou Wilt."

Let me innnnnnnnnnnnn, through your encryption
Through the rituals, he is asking for initiation.

Kanye West's lyrics should be interesting as well.
