Everything is good man, working hard.

Tell me a little bit about how you got your start in music and who are some of your musical influences out there.

I am gonna take it back as far as my musical influences go. Prince, Michael Jackson, 2PAC, Mase. A real broad variety, not just hip hop, alot of pop and R&B, Madonna, alot of different things man.

I have seen recently that you have been doing alot of work with Timbaland. How did you link up with him?

A couple years back I got invited to Miami to work on a Interscope project that actually did not get released, but nevertheless it was a good experience for me. Got a chance to rock out with him and see how he works and see all the production tips and secrets and just getting a variety of advice from him. It was a real good experience. I got a couple of joints done and now I am rocking out with them.

A couple of the cuts you did with him are going to be on the Shock Value 2 album right?

No the Back Together joint will not be on Shock Value 2. It did not make the cut, but we have been getting good responses from it so it is a good look.

Tell me a little bit about your Givers & Takers mixtape that you dropped a couple months ago.

Givers & Takers is a life cd man. It is for everybody man. It is a real broad cd, has a couple street records, a couple radio records, couple records that are true to me. Basically the title speaks for itself, it is about life and giving and taking. There are alot of different scenarios and when you actually go through the tracklisting and the different songs, it is like a movie. It is a real good look.

Are you currently working on another mixtape or upcoming album or are you going to let this mixtape do its thing for a little bit? What else is in the plans for you?

In January we are going to release The Long Distance Love Affair. That is the next project that is coming out soon so people can be on the lookout for that. Some leaks from that will be coming in the next month or so.

What are your personal thoughts on the state of hip hop? Are you happy with the music that is coming out, you think there is alot of BS?

I think there is room for everybody. There is a fan that likes every kind of music and everyone does not like the shoot em up, bang bang, everyone does not like to party, everyone does not want to hear people's reality. I think the state of hip hop is good right now because it is given room for different types of hip hop to come out so I am satisfied with it.

What is currently some music that you are bumping right now in the ride or at the house that you are currently feeling right now?

I am listening to the new 50 album, the Wale album, Black Eyed Peas album, and that is currently what I am listening to.

Do you have any upcoming shows or tour dates that you want to let the people know about?

On December 3rd I will be performing in New York City at Suzi Won's. We are also going to be setting up a college tour in February. Look out for me at a college near you.
