Geto Boys or NWA, better 90's rap group

The good old days... both are legends and sold records without the luxury of a lot of radio play.... can't go wrong with either, but wich group did u favor more

Cube n Face were both beast, but I think Willie D stood out more then anybody eltz in NWA

Loved them both, but personally liked GB's albumbs a bit more.... this isn't including the solo ventures, just keep it group vs group cd's

i like all of nwa solo

but for some reason i never liked them as a group

im gonna go wit geto boys

i still listen to their !! regularly

NWA = bigger impact

no Cube & Ren = most written verses


Geto Boys = more solid an mos def more consistent and theres no "No Vaseline" track against the Geto Boys

NWA made more of an impact inthe rap industry. They pretty much took the US by storm especially with White America.

Geto Boys was hard back inthe day as well but didn't get their due until they dropped "Mind Playing Tricks On Me"

these 3 songs alone SHOULDVE caused MORE controversy than NWA did and im born an raised in The Golden State

NWA prime was more so in the 80s

geto boys had a lot of obstacles being the south was the red head step child as far as regions at that time.... rap-a- lot was the first black owned record lable to get !! done as well

I remember bob dole using the geto boys cd, to try to get rap music banned[pic]

that !! the police song, caused a huge stir, no doubt though... had all the white kids pissing thier parents off.... my pops thought that automobile song was hillarious though[pic]
