If u dont understand what he's saying then you shldnt even comment on it. Its simple what he is saying. Its like some ppl on here might not feel like reading 2 or 3 paragraphs and ppl will skip over your post without reading it but will pay those short responses attention because its not too long.

Aint nobody trying to hear niccas rapping thats too lyrical cuz u might not know what some of the words mean. Majority of folks want simple !!

not everyone wants to party to nothing but songs about drugs and orgies [pic] It's not about being judgmental of rap, its about the lack of balance within mainstream. I don't know how old you are but as a young person who lives in a hood full of youngn's i can see the direct effect. I live in the midwest and taking xtc and popping pills all of a sudden became cool overnight because of the music that is being promoted. You have found a balance but most young people don't because they have never been exposed to that balance to begin with. When i was young i heard 2pac, lauryn hill, talib kweli, common, busta rhymes ,nas, anthony hamilton, outkast, dmx, jadakiss but you also had nelly, jay-z, cash money, no limit, diddy etc.. so being 10 years old in 1999 I got introduced to many different styles and expressions on mainstream radio. And don't tell me that people can just go on youtube because contrary to popular belief every body in america isn't born into households with internet access but damn near everyone has a tv or a radio which will introduce them to pop culture.

There is NO balance at all anymore when it comes to mainsteam rap i mean c'mon when Rick Ross is considered the most relevant LYRICIST in the game then we are in a sad state. You don't learn anything from these guys man and its shameful that people defend it when there is no defense besides bliss and willful ignorance. The honest truth is that as a community this music is so POWERFUL that one song can change what we wear all across the nation and world, and to act like it doesn't have an impact just because you may be aware enough not to fall in to the trap doesn't mean that there isn't a young brotha out there right now who's biggest male influence is someone telling them to go hit a lick, stay strapped, sell dope and shoot niccaS.

Im out here so i see the effect firsthand i don't know where yall at but in the hood its getting nothing but worse for the youngins, thats why niccas gon stay right tha !! at the bottom cuz like game said we feed of evil! niccas can't go to the club and enjoy themselves without having to hear a song about shooting another nicca, nicca WHAT THE !! DOES PARTYING HAVE TO DO WITH SHOOTING AND ROBBING! DUMB niccaS PARTY TO DUMB IGNORANT MUSIC LIKE WAKA FLOCKA and end up k!lling each other or fighting by the end of the night. its d|sgusting

^^ I'm sorry but what your saying is nothing new niccaz have been saying hiphop is in a sad state since 1992.

Get over yourself and stop acting like the world has to like every!!ing thing you like.

If you dont like what's on the radio turn it off. There is a thing called the Internet where youcan chose which artist you want to listen to. You are no longer dependent on radio stations to provide you with new music.

Honestly it's not that serious you don't like it fine pay it no mind. Y'all give "bad music" more attention then people who like it

If people ain't conscious of what they listening to then they need to pick up some books. It's simple. They can just get some from school or from the library and expand their minds. I've come to the realization that somebody needs to tell these kids that they have to take responsibility for themselves. It's cool to listen to this music for entertainment but you should always be aware of the distinction between taking it too literally and taking it as entertainment.

Reading is promoted everywhere but most kids would rather rebel. It's too bad but I can't expect capitalists to go all positive when deep down the people only want the negative. It's deeper than rap.

Perfect.

Mainstream rap these days is hilarious, and I still like some of it. Well, the production sometimes.

Open up your minds people.

Future might be one of the worst things to happen to "rap." Him and OJ Da Juiceman. At least Juicy boy's dumb[..] didn't blow up.
