French Montana's 'Excuse My French' Album Pushed to Fall

French Montana has been steadily promoting his debut studio album, "Excuse My French," since Rick Ross revealed the album's release date on Feb. 26. But fans will have to wait longer than its initial day of release of July 17. Yesterday (June 15), a rep for French Montana confirmed to Billboard's The Juice that "Excuse My French" will be released in early fall.

"I'm still working on a couple of the last pieces so I'm not really rushing it," French told The Juice. Although his full-length opus is "halfway done," French admits hitting the road on Drake's Club Paradise tour interrupted the recording process. "This tour set me back," he continued.

Album delay aside, French continues to dominate the charts and streets with club anthems, such as his latest, "Pop That," featuring Lil Wayne, Drizzy and Ross.

I didn't like the date because it was the same as Nas release date and then Ross drops a few weeks later. Now he can let his singles bubble some more and finish touring with Drake and drop the album on a better date.

You should finish an album before you drop it.

feel like this "Club Paradise" Tour quickly bumped a few artists into another unexpected categories... Waka N French are 2 guys who greatly benefitted... this all gave French a brand new game plan

Should I have just stay indie...now he has interscope and diddy to tell him when to work and when to drop his !!...he could have dropped it indie, sold 30k-40k, get the majority of the profits, go on a tour around the country and work his name to club promoters overseas to get a buzz in europe

but nahhhhh he signs with diddy who is signed to interscope...basically if your album isn't gonna sell big numbers you get pushed back...majors only want big numbers from their artist, look at tyga case, young money held him for 6 years to finally release his album and the album didnt even do good numbers for a major
