DMX ARRESTED AGAIN ... FIRST ARREST OF 2010.l

DMX -- The First Arrest of 2010





DMX was arrested earlier today in Arizona -- and now his lawyer is reaching out to the one man who he believes can save him ... Dr. Drew Pinsky.

The details of the arrest are unclear -- but the rapper's lawyer Gary Jenkins tells us "He's been battling addiction for some time and he's in need of treatment."

Jenkins also tells us, "We're hoping that maybe Dr. Drew might be able to help him."

DMX -- aka Earl Simmons -- was arrested a bazillion times over the last two years for all sorts of reasons ... including drug charges.

Jenkins added, "He's a talented man ... we're praying for him."

UPDATE: We've just obtained DMX's mug shot ... and it's got to be one of the saddest we've ever seen.

We've also learned more details of DMX's arrest. We're told he allegedly violated the terms of his probation by using illegal drugs over the last nine months.

Man i feel bad for x because he is fighting addiction. when he was locked up them 90days dude was looking much better and everything but as soon as he got out and had that studio session wit tyrese he looked horrible again.

Nah he'll be worse...he just needs to get in a treatment program and stay in there for about 6 months

man s**t is 200% more hectic in NY, bad idea. how has dark man stayed out of jail getting arrested so many damn times? i guess he has had a few short bids but damn. surprised a judge hasn't gone crazy on him.

and yes to dr drew. dmx on next celebrity rehab would be a great look.
