Whoa.

I guess I'm surprised because that Purple Rain track was made so long ago. I never really thought too much about it.

But with the Simmons family speaking on it, they've implicitly acknowledged the allegations. Even worse, they got cats like me double-checking some of these J.Cole tracks in light of knowing he who he's speaking on.

Cole didn't mention her by name on Purple Rain. He has a lot of songs where he says "She did this, she did that..." but never really says who he's talking about. But in light of the situation, it's pretty damn obvious who he was talking about. Diggy's reasoning behind the diss is making sense now.
