I was in Miami when I'm On One dropped

That sh*t was crazy.. You'd literally see 10-15 whips pass by blasting that joint out the trunk back to back..

That's the last real summer anthem that comes to mind for me

Don't You gotta have a criteria to be considered a summer anthem? like your song shoulda been released no earlier than May.

2001 - R. Kelly feat. Jay-Z & Boo and Gotti - Fiesta (Remix) - this wasnt even an honorable mention Southern Hospitality was like a spring anthem

2003 - 50 Cent - P.I.M.P./ P.I.M.P. (Remix feat. G-Unit & Snoop Dogg) - In Da Club was of course huge but it was bigger in the beginning of the year, by the summer P.I.M.P had took over

2009 - Gucci Mane feat. Plies - Wasted - c'mon this was everybodys anthem back in the summer of '09, good times...

2010 - Young Jeezy feat. Plies - Lose My Mind - yeah BMF was big but when this came on in the club that summer everybody really lost they mind

Yup... Lookin at the List this was easily the biggest moment... smh

"Fiesta" Remix absolutely owned the Summer of 2001.

"Southern Hospitality" was released as a Single in December of 2000 and peaked on the charts in March of 01... Yet somehow was the Song of the Summer of 01.

"Fiesta" Remix dropped in late May and dominated Urban Radio the whole damn summer.

I remember the Summers of 00 & 01 very very well. Those coming of age memories

Im On One is mediocre. How that make the list, Drake was average, Ross verse was good, Wayne verse should have not even made the track.. I must listened to Mood Muzik 4 and 4.5 all summer....who knows.

They had it as the 3rd Runner Up in 99 behind "Back That Azz Up" & "Bling Bling" which I can't really argue with...

But they also had it behind "Owe Me Back" tho.

Let's see:
Good Times, Breaks, Message and any Run DMC I've heard a million times

No recollections of Rapture, Itchin or Brothers gonna work it out

My older cousins must have played the hell out of Beat Street since I was only 2 in summer of 84 but still remember hearing it as a kid

But Mo Money Mo Problems in 97 and Hard Knock Life (which I hated) in 99 were bigger songs. I won't argue with One More Chance but there were mad songs that summer that were just as big. And how can you not have Summertime by Fresh Prince for 92?

southern hospitality must have got no airplay here (hot97) because I barely remember it. Gotta check out those first 3 luda "cds" i've yet to "open"

How is ridin not on my ipod?

Stronger was really the 07's summer anthem?

Still can't believe all those women were bumping best I ever had and drake made a video with a bunch girls t*tties bouncing everywhere. Not that I'm complaining
