A bunch of pissy camel stans knee deep in it talkin bout "who the #### is CNN to be talkin bout hip-hop tho" when in the next thread they're posting covers of Jay on Forbes like they're proclaiming him goat. I hate this site sometimes...

Is he the greatest lyricist? Probably so, but that doesn't make him the greatest emcee.

Most overrated. He doesn't possess the lyrical ability of a Pharoahe Monch, Jay-Z, Jay Electronica, Lauryn Hill or Lupe Fiasco.

A very consistent lyricist, perhaps the most consistent lyricist of all time, but nothing he writes down in particular stands out lyrically like the elite of hip-hop--and this is coming from a big fan of his. What Nas has done lyrically throughout his career was already done by Rakim.
