Toss up. In recent years Ghost's song has touched me more though. I can barely listen to it without getting misty eyed.

'Dear Mama.' And it follows an excellent sampling tree. See Skin Deep featuring Lil Kim 'No More Games' and Anthony Hamilton's 'I Will Go.' Serious business.

I don't even know how you can compare the two. Obviously the production on Ghostface's track seems more appropriate for a dedication track. But the production isn't really hip-hop influenced, no hard kicks and snares.

[pic] WTF are you talking about? A song doesn't have to have hard kicks and snares to be hip hop. See Lodi Dodi or Queens get the money. And they're both dedication songs, that's how you can compare the two.

WORD. consider that Pac was locked up when the track dropped, album went #1 in its first week, and he couldn't even be in the video so his moms had to fill in almost like a narrator to the track. the joint was beyond sincere and showed that even the hardest cats in the street/on the block have compassion, even if its just for their moms

All that I got is you easily. Better lyrically, Better production, better chorus and better replay value
No one is saying exactly how dear mama is better just that it's more popular but we already know that.

And Ghost>PAC period
