I was just meaning in general, cause like with the Miguel joint, the song was out for months, k!lling the radio, and just about a week or two ago, they put it out as an "official " single on ITunes smh. My thing is, when you have songs like that there are either heavy on the streets/radio/the 'Net/etc, the label(s)are dropping the ball by not capitalizing on the buzz ,thereby losing significant revenue that both the label and the artist want in the end. Cause I have seen examples of songs that started off as a mixtape single, caught a fire on the streets and radio, and then when you see consumers complaining about why this or that song isn't on ITunes to buy it and when it finally does show up, it lost that buzz, considered "old". Even though there are places where one can acquire a song beforehand(ahem, lol) but there are consumers out there who either don't know how to or don't like to, and are willing to purchase it right then and there. Like my mom-she listens to the new R&B or whatever on her iPhone, and she is the type that if she hears something she likes, she wants to go on her iPhone and buy it right then and there and if she goes to iTunes and it's not on there, she gets frustrated and forgets about the song.
