And yet, she'll be there Sunday for Super Bowl XLVI! Really, we should be thanking Madonna for this, because if she hadn't decided to include Nicki on her brand-new single, "Give Me All Your Luvin'," there's a good chance Nicki would be watching the big game at home like the rest of us. But Madonna did include her, so she should really take advantage of her opportunity. To help her out—and to make sure that everyone is talking about her around the watercooler on Monday morning—we put together a list of the 5 ways Nicki Minaj can make the most of her appearance at the Super Bowl on Sunday. We get the feeling that Nicki's only going to get a minute or two tops on stage at the Super Bowl. So to maximize her impact, she needs to do something that makes her stand out. So, her best friend this weekend? Her stylist. She needs to wear something that makes people at home say, "Who is that?" Or, here's an idea: What if Nicki channeled Janet Jackson and wore an outfit inspired by the one Janet wore back in 2004 when she caused "!!gate"? Now, that would get people talking about her. |  2. She should shout out her Twitter handle during the show.
To date, Nicki has approximately 9 million people following her on Twitter. That's impressive. But she could get waaaaaaay more if she took the time to shout out her Twitter handle during her Super Bowl performance. According to reports, more than 160 million people watched the Super Bowl last year and total viewership has increased substantially over the course of the last four years. So she could potentially be reaching millions and millions of new fans when she performs. Why not encourage them to follow you on Twitter? |  3. She should talk Madonna into letting her perform one of her verses from "Super Bass."
A lot of people tuning into the Super Bowl halftime show might not know exactly who Nicki Minaj is. But there will be a lot of people who've heard "Super Bass" on the radio before. So connecting a face to the song will obviously be good for business. But, even better: If Nicki successfully performed a rap song on the Super Bowl halftime stage, the NFL might actually consider bringing rappers back into the mix again. And that would look really, really good on Nicki's resume. |  4. She should be as touchy-feely as she can be with Madonna.
Nicki doesn't have to plant a kiss on Madonna like Britney Spears did all those years ago on MTV's 2003 Video Music Awards. But, for the time she's on stage, she shouldn't be afraid to get as close as possible to Madonna—and stay there. We seriously doubt Madonna would mind, and it'd give Nicki the chance to maximize her screen time during the show.
