English is an open language...changes constantly and has many rule exceptions...ask anyone who is not a native speaker

i can't tell you how hard it is to learn english because i grew up around it
spanish is very easy to learn once you know some latin (learned latin first, then spanish)
french wasn't hard either but i lost interest
only asian language i somewhat know is persian, and it actually has similar language roots to many european languages..

word..do you mean Farsi? I know Farsi borrows some words from French.

i know, kinda crazy.. wonder where the french words come from when france isn't anywhere near iran/afghanistan

for example, they say "merci" and even their subway system is called "metro" like in paris

i can't really think of any spanish words sounding the same but meaning different things at the moment.. there might be some but english takes the cake

that doesn't make english harder though..
english: i speak you speak he/she/it speaks we speak you speak they speak <- speak only changes in 3rd person

spanish: hablo hablas habla hablamos hablais hablan

english really dumbed down over the years, got rid of any declinations/conjugations and the words don't even have genders.. how is that hard to learn?

I don't mean to be an[..] but the word is actually a declension...I wanted to put that out there in case anyone wanted to research.

haha it's cool .. i actually never heard the proper english term of that word, only known it from latin lessons and my teacher would always call it that even tho he was american [pic]
and since english (and spanish) language don't have declensions, you rarely hear anyone mention it..

edit: just realized the irony of me calling english easy to learn then !!ing up words [pic] but yea, i grew up speaking english
