1. Orange Solar Tent Concept

The Concept Tent has been designed by the Telecom Orange in a$sociation with American product design consultancy Kaleidoscope, featuring the most advanced in technology: A Photovoltaic fabric, a Glo-cation technology, a Wireless control hub and Groundsheet heater. Charge all your gadgets with solar power and control them all with the wireless control hub.

2. Jacket + Tent + Sleeping Bag = JakPak

Why carry a jack, tent and sleeping bag on your back when all these items can fold into one, wearable 3lb bundle?

The JakPak is a three seasons tent built into a sleeping bag built into a jacket. Constructed of breathable but waterproof urethane coated ripstop nylon/polyester fabric, through the miracles of Velcro-secured chambers, the jacket portion of the JakPak can unfurl to the body bag you see in the lead shot—complete with no see netting and armpit ventilation!

3. Mountain Hardware Stronghold Camping Tent

The Mountain Hardware Stronghold Camping Tent shields you from even the most horrific elements, constructed in a dome shape with some of the strongest geometry known to man. It's supposedly big enough for 10 people. Price: $3000

4. Nyamuk Tent

The Nyamuk is a compact sleeping bag that goes from full tent to hammock complete with mosquito net. It looks fun; this isn't for the hardcore man vs. wild trip.

5. Tepee

For adventurers of all ages, the classic Tepee (2008) is a simple solution for spending time outdoors with minimal impact on the surrounding landscape. This one was crafted for DWR Tools for Living by Dave Ellis, who spent 10 years working in the canvas business before creating his own line of tents and tepees in 1982. Price: $2,200

6. Vessel Tent

It's a coat, backpack and tent all-in-one.

During warm weather, the coat can be folded and strapped around the wearer as a backpack for easy transport. When it's time to set up camp, the interior lining can be stretched out and pegged—creating a private, protective cocoon.

7. Nemo Morpho

Nemo is a hip, young outdoor equipment brand started by former RI School of Design student Cam Brensinger. His patented tents made with AirSupported Technology (AST) have won awards and developed a major following in the backpacking and adventure expedition market. This all weather Morpho AR single wall tent has two AST airbeams instead of traditional tent poles so setup takes only 45 seconds with the included foot pump. AST also means better wind resistance, strength and easier packaging.

8. Kahuna

A cool boat which you can camp in the sea or lake! Kahuna is a new touring boat, inspired by old Polynesian outrigger canoes. It was developed for recreational use in various environments around the globe, created mainly for rental agencies and for outdoor enthusiasts. The combination of sports equipment and camping gear allows efficient mobility and a comfortable overnight stay.

9. Decathlon 2-second Tent

It's a practical cool idea. The Decathlon 2-Second Tent sets up in only 2 seconds! How? Just remove the plastic strap and throw it in the air. The Decathlon 2-second Tent is waterproof, ventilated, durable and the right size for 3 adults, very comfortable for 2 people. Folding it after use only takes about 15 seconds.

10. Inflatable Surf Tent Concept

Designed by LifeStyleDesign for Reef, this surf tent concept is meant to provide quick shelter on the beach when you're far from civilization or just want to be able to roll out of bed in the morning and hit the waves.

11. Treepee

The Treepee combines the timeless appeal of a tree house with the practicalities of an all weather tent, as well as the excitement of Aerial suspension to create a whole world of possibilities.

12. Tent Camper Opera House Design

This unique tent camper that looks like the Sydney Opera House. Created by a Belgian designer, this unusual camper is being marketed as “Your Suite in Nature” and touts style and freedom.

I'd have to go with #12. Tent Camper Opera House Design...

The tit-tent

This one was really popular in Belgium summer of 2010 after a massive marketing campaign by the newspaper Het Nieuwsblad! A tent in the shape of, well, a boob.

"Strange and Creative" huh?...This guy must be proud of himself for creating such a concept as the Tepee.
