Shakira Announces That She’s Pregnant, Will Drop Out Of Music Festival

Shakira is joining the ranks of celebrity moms, as the Columbian singer announced this afternoon that she’s expecting her first child! Unfortunately for her fans, it means that they won’t be able to see her perform in Las Vegas at the iHeartRadio Music Festival this Friday, but we have a feeling that they’ll be more than forgiving! The 35-year-old is well on her way to starting a family with her husband, soccer player Gerard Pique, whom she married last year.

The lovely blonde with the truthful hips released the following statement on her website today:

As some of you may know, Gerard and I are very happy awaiting the arrival of our first baby! At this time we have decided to give priority to this unique moment in our lives and postpone all the promotional activities planned over the next few days.

This means I will not be able to be a part of the iHeartRadio Music Festival, but I’m sure this weekend in Las Vegas will be spectacular and I will be closely following everything that happens there!

I’d like to thank Clear Channel and my fans for their constant love and understanding.
