MJ is halfway true. He was playing jv but got cut from varsity when he tried out and he stayed on jv

How u cut if you was never on the team though? He just didnt make it to varsity.

Mj wasn't really cut.. During the time it was rare for a soph to make the Vars team but when he saw his friend Leory Smith had made the team MJ felt some type of way hence the "crying in his room"

Smith was only picked to play Vars because of his height...
