| INFOGRAPHIC: Legalizing Marijuana is the Best Thing for America - NUGGETRY News ![]() Currently, the DEA and some federal officials are working diligently to stop both medical medical and recreational marijuana through raids, busts, and legislation. However, this is both counter intuitive to the wishes of the majority of Americans and potentially harmful to the economic and social development of America as a nation. Should marijuana be legalized, the country stands to see drastic decreases in crime and increases in revenues which could be put toward decreasing state and nationwide debt. It has been estimated that marijuana legalization in the US could bring in over $20 billion for the nation’s economy. The following infographic demonstrates some of the financial and social changes that could come about were marijuana legalized full size-? http://news.nuggetry.netdna-cdn.com/...goinggreen.jpg ![]() |

| I agree it should be legalized but its not gonna save america . And it crime will not change that much afterwards . It will just make another certain group more rich thats about all . There was a period of time when alcohol was illegal and then it became legal there are people who are behind bars for abusing the legality of alcohol . So if weed became legal tomorrow people would be abusing that right as well . Id love to just be able to enjoy a lil weed at home but i know some !!s would be riding around getting high as !! and k!ll someone doing it just like with alcohol . | |

| Think about the big operation that is weed sales. All those cartels that ship weed to the US from mexico. Dealers here who supply low level dealers. And what those nickel and dime dealers are making. All of those people are goin to be put out of work from legalized weed. What do you think those people will begin to start doin? If not sellin harder drugs then they will go to other criminal activities | |

| lol you think offering a bailout, even forcing companies that didn't need it, like gm, to take it is helping? hahahahahahahaha...america will collapse unless 1 obama isn't reelected, 2 we don't have 30+ years of straight republicans making people work or do without...these handouts !! our country...and the government's overspending...democrats do nothing to help...everyone just wants theirs...lazy bastards just don't see it not to mention facts are wrong...states that legalized it have widespread use, it's just less and less get caught because police watch for the things they know they can arrest you for...they need quotas to keep their jobs... In no way would legalizing marijuana lead to people asking for cocaine/pcp/heroin/crack and other man made drugs to be legalized. Isnt it like...every 19 or either 29 minutes someone dies from a perfectly legal prescription drug? ......So why we acting new now? | ||

You can legalize weed and make vehicle regulations (you can't smoke in the car.) Lastly and most importantly, weed is ALREADY legal. If California can do it -- why not anywhere else? | ||
