Jun 15 - The Salary That Will Make You Happy

Im 21 making close to 40 with a fiance and a 2yr old son. I dont see none of my money. Between bills and taking care of the family that money goes out the window with the occasional night out here n there.

But starting a new job making 55-60 within the next few weeks, so we'll see how true the "happiness threshold" is.

Mostly greed. 20 yrs ago, a CEO of a huge corporation would make like 20m a year, now dudes are making 200mil a year. There's no cap for these guys on their salaries, and they just sit on the money. Money is made to be circulated... but you got so many millionaires/billionaires, literally just saving all their cash.

I read this on WS Journal like last year, I'd show u the article, but don't feel like looking it up. This isn't the only reason, but IMO, the main one.

The problem I see is that most people want to be workers believing that there living the American dream when there not. Add the fact that some people think that their job could never be lost. I realized as a kid that a job aint !! because your being paid systematically from an employer plus that most people hate their jobs.

I just turned 22 making 32k salary but really I take home about $1900 a month which isn't !! but my side business really helps out and keep me sane. But I do always have at least $3500 - $4000 in the bank, it took about 5 months to save it but I do a lot of saving. I guess my weakness is bars and casinos on the weekend. Although I've been good about that lately, I was never one to buy clothes and shoes every month, try to wear the same things and spread it out. Just becoming extremely picky about how you spend your money can pay off.

And when I go to the casino I only take what I can afford to lose. Bars I usually spend a decent amount but get too loose to remember my debit card pin so I always get capped by however much cash I bring in :P
