Madden NFL 12 [360/PS3/ PS2/Wii/3DS/PSP] [2011]

i havent owned a madden since 2004 because of this reason. Every time it came out after that has been a disappointment. and you would think with the power our systems have now the !!s would be epic. Nope, they keep getting worse. Madden 10 was the only good one so far this generation. its !!en sad man.

I give it a 4 because of the horrific audio. The audio is so quiet that I have to crank the volume on my surround sound set up to ridiculous levels (like 20 db higher than any other game, movie or tv show). Keep in mind I don't have some !!ty $200 set up, I have a decent, mid-range Yamaha 5.1 unit, nothing great but not !! either. Having to crank the sound would only be a minor annoyance if the damn audio didn't pop like someone threw a mic onto the ground every game. Now I have to play with the audio off because I'm scared !!less that this unfinished lazy piece of !! game will blow my speakers. EA needs to fire the entire audio department that worked on this game, or k!ll them. Either would be acceptable. I mean who worked on this game? Deaf people? Even without the speaker blowing pops the commentators are 5 times louder than anything else for !!s sake. It is like who ever mastered the game had no idea how to change audio levels, they are just all over the !!in place. I've seen better audio editing from 12 year olds on soundclick. Sad thing is, gameplay wise I think this is the best madden we've seen in years. If it weren't for the audio and the !!ed up playbooks I would prolly give this a 7.

Playing on PS3 by the way, I don't know if this is an issue on 360 or if PS3 users just got the short end of the stick again like we did with graphics.

8 or 9....its the funnest Madden of the new gen, my only complaint is the grass texture doesn't look too great on stadiums that have shade, like Seattle's, grass in the shade looks crappy

I like the game so far... However, How the hell can a 250lbs dude outrun a 150lb dude... A lil glitch I suppose....

One more thing I did notice that the audio is not so great. I have a Bose T20 setup and can barely hear anything..... and I do have to turn it up higher...

other than that. i give it a 7.

mann i havent played a football game on a ps platform since like nfl gameday on ps2

downloaded the demo for my ps3 and it was like night and day...seemed like there were so many things you had to know compared to it being simple in the gameday series from what i remember

i'll prolly cop madden 11 n just update the roster myself cuz i keep hearin how every year it gets worse n worse

I've played it enough to feel like I can give a review now and not just throw a number out. I hated Madden 11. I had no intentions of buying this game until they dropped the demo. I like all of the new presentation they put into it. I haven't gotten to play it on the PS3 yet, but it looks pretty damn good on the 360. I like the defense alot better than last year. It seemed like every game was really high scoring on 11, at least in my experience with that title. The hits felt weak. The hits are nice in this. We have had a couple oh !! moments with the tackling. Maddent Ultimate Team, Superstar, and franchise give the game some legs. I probably won't play Superstar mode much because I got my fill of that type of game mode with NCAA 12.

What's bad... that commentary. !! suuuuuuucks. Hear the same thing over and over again. They say !! that doesn't even go with the action on screen. It really helps derail the realistic presentation they put the work into to make it feel like a real game. It's pretty disappointing they didn't put more work in there. Chris Collinsworth is terrible. I wish he would be gone from Madden 13. If the audio didn't completely suck the game would be pushing a 9 for me because I really like it. A few random glitches stop it from being a 9 as well. The invicible player glitch runs rampant in MUT. I'd give it an 8-8.5.

I can't put my finger on what it is that I don't like about this game. I've bought every Madden since like '98. I always enjoy the game and this year is no exception, but there's just something that bugs me about this one. I'm not sure I like the graphics all that much or the way the players go down when they get tackled. The commentary, as mentioned above, is pretty terrible also. Julio Jones get called Julius Thomas every time and they do say the same things a thousand times. I'm mostly concerned about the actual game play though, and I just hope that it gets a little better next year.

Still a fun game, and I'll give it a 7/10

madden is the same every year nothing changes but a few glitches not much just a few and a couple features added they are not focusing on the big things
