Assassin's Creed III is a historical action-adventure open world stealth video game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U and Microsoft Windows. It is the fifth major installment and the third numbered title in the[..]assin's Creed series. The game was released worldwide for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, beginning in North America on October 30, 2012. A Wii U and Microsoft Windows version will be released in November 2012.

The main portion of[..]assin's Creed III is set before, during and after the American Revolution from 1753 to 1783, featuring a new protagonist: half-English and half-Native American, Connor Kenway, birth name Ratonhnhaké:ton (pronounced "Ra-doon-ha-gay-doon"). In addition to the historical period, the game also features the "present day" setting, where series' protagonist Desmond Miles must adventure to prevent a fictional 2012 apocalypse, as his story develops and reaches a conclusion. The game features a new engine, Anvil Next, built from the ground up, the engine is said to utilize full capability of current generation systems to deliver a "next-gen[..]assin's Creed experience."

Got a few hours of gameplay in already. It's still too early to give a final vote, but so far I have to give it a 9 or 10. The new combat engine alone is worth a high score. No more just holding right trigger and one button for countering. It definitely feels more fluid.

The new free-running system takes some getting used to (especially after so many installments using the same controls) but overall I think it's an upgrade.

Damn best game i've played since Red Dead Redemption so far...

Still playing. I started over before I got too far because I felt like I was missing some things and moving too fast. And that was a good idea cause I did overlook some interesting things that's making my experience a little more richer...

the whole story line took way to long to develop with the backstory of connor and all that basic training stuff. Once you finally get into the game around sequence 6-7 it really picks up

I gave it a six. The stealth is a joke, too many of our founding fathers is just ridiculous, no choice, and just overall feels like a game built for the mainstream casual gamer. I like the native american story, but just fighting alongside the same people who commit genocide on your entire race is just lame. I can't even k!ll "civilians" or hide bodies, its just lazy programming.

If you want to know what a real stealth game is supposed to be then get Hitman: Absolution.
