| Delray Beach (Fla.) Atlantic three-star defensive tackle Keith Bryant pledged to the Miami Hurricanes back in January. More than six months later, the 6-foot-2, 292-pound defensive tackle remains committed to that program. “It is still the same,” Bryant said. “I am still strongly committed. I am just hearing from a lot of other schools and I am thinking about them, but my commitment is still the same.” Childhood fandom played a large role in Bryant’s decision to pledge to Miami so early. “Miami was always the school that I wanted to go to,” Bryant said. “I was always a Miami fan. So many guys from my high school went to Miami.” Bryant has spoken with his future head coach, Al Golden, about a recent report of more allegations of recruiting violations against Miami. “I talked with him,” Bryant said. “We were just catching up and stuff. I heard about some new allegations or whatever, so I called him and we talked. He was just telling me that they are going to be fine. He told me not to listen to the media. “I am trusting his word,” Bryant added. While Bryant contends he is firm to Miami, he has continued to look at other schools with on-campus visits. During the summer, Bryant visited Florida State, Georgia, Southern Cal, and South Carolina, in addition to Miami. “All of the schools got my attention and all of the schools were great schools to visit,” Bryant said. One school in particular really grabbed the attention of the South Florida defender. “I would have to say that my favorite visit was probably USC,” Bryant said. “I loved the atmosphere and Coach (Ed) Orgeron. I went to Camp Kiffin. They just told me they would love to have me on the defensive line. (Defensive coordinator) Monte Kiffin just told me I am a good football player, that I have good explosion off the ball.” After starting the summer with a camp visit to Miami, Bryant made his way to Tallahassee to visit with the Seminoles during their June camp session. A return visit to Florida State is possibly in the plans for during August to attend a preseason practice for the Seminoles. “Florida State is a great school,” Bryant said. “I like the coaches I deal with there. I feel welcomed when I am up there.” Following his camp visit at Florida State, Bryant made his way to South Carolina to check out the Gamecocks. They are in the picture due to the efforts of one of Steve Spurrier’s[..]istants. “I talk to Coach Grady (Brown) like all of the time,” Bryant said. “He is my recruiter for them. He is a good dude.” Bryant wrapped up his summer with a visit to Georgia for Dawg Night. “I love Coach (Mark) Richt, he is a good dude,” Bryant said. “I like the defensive coordinator (Todd Grantham). Everybody there is good people. I got some great tips from Coach (Rodney) Garner about the pass rush.” The No. 44 defensive tackle in 247Sports rankings intends to return to USC during the season for an official visit. As for other trips, those are to be determined. “I am looking at all of my schools,” Bryant said. “I haven’t really narrowed down my choices like that yet. I haven’t set up all of my officials, but I do plan to use them. I just know USC for now, I want to go back out there because I loved it.” While Bryant continues to entertain other schools interest and take visits, he says without hesitation that if signing day were today he knows who he would ink with. “I would be signing with Miami,” Bryant said. In addition to the schools that Bryant visited over the summer, he is also considering Auburn, LSU, and Ohio State. | |

| Chris Nee said: Bryant didn't say that much on Florida State in this update, but from someone close to him has told me that if he doesn't end up at Miami the top two possibilities as of today are Florida State and USC. Obviously, as has been well documented, USC could easily be full soon. With regards to Florida State, I know that Stoops and Haggins, but especially Stoops, has done a very good job of making Bryant feel comfortable with the Seminoles. I think his recruitment goes down to the wire personally. | |

==================================================================== I don't have rivals anymore.....!! them niccaz. I fuks with 247 and my scout membership is expired as of yesterday. The only reason y i was on their because of this recruiting scout from south florida on there. I keep telling people...Coley will be in our class. McQuay III was doing the chop a week ago. I'm hearing that USC & Michigan were forcing him to commit, because of the numbers. His pops doesn't want him to go to Vandy or USC. His pops wants him to stay in state. His pops keeps telling him to don't sleep on FSU. This is a great sign for us. I believe if we can get him on campus & show him whats good. He's ours. The one nicca to watch is Priest Willis the db out of AZ. I think he'll be like a darby for us again this yr. if we don't get Mackenize. I just have this feeling that we are the dark horse for him. I could be wrong, but we'll see. | ||

| Rashaan Evans has two early SEC offers but one of the schools has risen to the top of the list for the 2014 linebacker from Auburn (Ala.) High. And it’s no real surprise who the son of former Auburn running back Alan Evans is listing as his early favorite. “Right now, Auburn is pretty much at the top,” Evans said. “It’s just the family base. I say it all the time and what they say about family at Auburn is true. You know if you go there, you’ll be treated like family and that’s what I like about it.” But Evans plans to take his time making a decision and wants to take a close look at all the schools recruiting him. So far, he has offers from Auburn and Georgia, and interest from a number of other schools including Alabama, LSU, Florida State and Nebraska. “I haven’t had a chance to talk with a lot of the other schools,” he said. “Once I have a chance to talk to the other schools, I’ll see where I stand. My parents don’t want me to commit too early. They really want me to lay out a plan to decide where I want to go.” Evans, 6-foot-3 and 214 pounds, camped at Auburn this summer and had a chance to work 1-on-1 with linebackers coach Tommy Thigpen. “He told me he liked the way I moved,” Evans said. “He told me to keep working hard and to stay focused. I loved working with him. He looked at the weaknesses I have and really tried to get me better.” Evans said he also has a close relationship with Auburn[..]istant Trooper Taylor. “He’s a real good coach and I like his enthusiasm,” he said. “I’m pretty sure a lot of players get the same thing. He relates to the younger guys. He’s really energetic.” Auburn High School begins practice Aug. 6 and opens the season Aug. 31 at Valley High School. Evans is excited about the addition of 5-star transfer linebacker Reuben Foster to the defense. “I’m really looking for some big things to happen,” Evans said. “I feel like Reuben has given us that edge and we have a little more confidence in our defense. I really think the defense is going to be the heart of our team. Defense wins championships. “I think we’re going to have a really good season, especially with Reuben being on our team.” =========================================================================== Auburn (Ala.) rising junior linebacker Rashaan Evans reports two early SEC offers and interest from a number of other schools including Florida State. | |

| Chris Nee: Robinson could play on either side of the ball, but most likely position is slot receiver. Florida State also has J.C. Jackson, another talented wide receiver. I believe the top two in-state targets at the position are Artavis Scott (Tarpon Springs East Lake) and Ermon Lane (Homestead). Both camped this summer. Both are top-tier wide receivers. =========================================================================== I want Lane and Scott. They said that Scott is the next Nelson Agholor. Lane is 5 star prospect. We in the top 2 for Lane. | |
