i haven't seen one here and i feel one needs to be started. we need to build on all things sox related year round, i'll start with a few thoughts.
coming in i worried about the offense but the pitching and defense problems caught me completely off guard
i have much respect for the job francona has to deal with balancing the egos of ortiz lowell and wakefield. 3 classy vets and you can't please all of them
personal opinion but i'd rather include beckett in a trade for adrian gonzalez than bucholz (even if we have to eat a chunk of becketts contract)
the jacoby ellsbury rib injury might linger all year, he might not be the same once he comes back
holla at me, talk about anything sox related

Yup. Theo just needs to correct his mistakes. I'm sick of this dude man-crushing players, waiting for them to become FA's, overpaying them, and then just watching them be mediocre.

I've wanted Gonzalez for 2 years now...we definitely have te pieces to get it done, but it'd be awkward to find playing time for him.

You can DH him- meaning Ortiz and Lowell become angry (who cares they both suck), but could cause chemistry problems.

I suppose we could just use that strategy for the rest of the year, then move Youk to 3rd and Gonzo to 1st, I'm[..]uming we won't be re-signing Beltre.

I just dont wanna give up Buchholz...I'd rather give up a deal around Papelbon with some other players in the mix.

I think they might resign Beltre if his defense improves. He's hitting the ball pretty damn well right now. If the Padres continue to play good I don't see them trading Gonzalez. Same goes for Carl Crawford.

Here's a name I don't understand why we haven't gone after. Jermaine Dye. He still has power and plays the field well. He's better then Bill Hall & McDonald and certainly better with Power than Drew. They need power.

I like Dye, but he's old...I'd rather just stick it out with the guys we have now..he's not a huge improvement IMO.

I wouldnt mind re-signing Beltre, but only if we have no chance of getting Gonzo. We really need his bat badly

I just like Dye over Hall and McDonald. No idea why Bill Hall is playing for this team. It's an embarrassment. Cameron is older than Dye. Dye is more equipped to hitting AL pitchers and we could probably sign him for 1 year 3-7 mill. At this point I say why not.

I dont think the Padres are gonna trade A. Gonzo rite now.......there playing to well so unless we give too much to get him he aint coming here.....were just gonna have to wait till after the season an go after Carl Crawford......now if we got Crawford an Gonzo DAMN....that would be nice......i was thinking tho what about trying to pick up Grady Sizemore?............he would be a good young player on this team.....we could give the Indians Cameron or J.D..............+ other players.......just a thought......
