My Battery Life Sucks

I rooted my phone and have clockwork mod and my battery life still sucks......can someone link me to a good kernel so I can have better battery life?

damn ive been looking for a program that tell me my battery usage. when my battery is low there is a pop up that allows me to view what programs are using the most power. I can not find this option before my battery is not low. is there an app where i can do this. I have a thunderbolt <<<<i know i know its going to happen.

and i dont know what a setcpu is

thats because android phone battery life sucks period. it is the only con on those phones that i can see really. u got to root dat !! to customize batt. life and only get minimal savings. it sux.

Word same !! here..I have my evo rooted with setpcu and my battery still sucked..I actually just copped one of those extended batteries from sprint on saturday..its worth the money..I only charged my phone twice from saturday till right now..with the same rooted setpcu setup. Im loving it.

you might want to flash a new rom and get rid of that bloatware, then flash a new kernel.

i got a evo and get great battery life.

Thats what I am thinking about doing.......what rom/flash are you using right now and is everything working like gps, wifi, and google apps?

^^^i work at sprint and see customers come in all the time complaining about their battery life...so i really recommend u get the extended battery....no matter what u do to the evo da battery is still gonna die fast...i seen customers with rooted evos and all but their battery just dies super fast...that extended battery is what u need for that evo...

if any of yall n*ggas live in dallas and need da extended battery holla at me...ill let yall get my discount...

MIUI 1.4.22 >>>>

I've been getting 24+ hours on moderate to heave usage on a single charge.

For better battery life I would definitely choose ASOP > Sense

I guess it depends on what phone you have, cuz i've used the cm7 st@ble and the MIUI 1.4.22 and my battery life with both is half of what I get with a stock rom with custom kernal.

CM7 + Netarchy SBC Kernel + Juice Defender Ultimate = 15hr battery life on pretty heavy use. I send about 250 texts, Facebook, light web browsing, send a few emails and maybe if I'm bored I'll play some Words With Friends or some old GBA/SNES roms for like 20-30 mins.

all you have to do to root your phone is read and know how to follow instructions. theres a bunch of threads in here telling ppl how or where to find out how. also type it in to google if you want to find out how.

rooting doesn't magically make your phones battery life great. theres a lot of flashing and testing of roms and kernals before you find something that you like and has good battery life... also on the evo, theres no such thing as good battery life [pic]
