New to this, but what happens when 5.1 gets jail broken?

I've got 5.0.1 jail broken on my iPad and I wanna put iPhoto on it, but it needs 5.1 to operate...so what happens once it gets jail broken?

Will I have to restore my phone to 5.1 and then add the jailbreak? And if that's the case, I'm gonna lose all the apps and !! I've installed to it. Is there a way to save what I have already as far as apps and !! so I don't have to completely re-install everything like apps from Installous and other !! I've downloaded from Cydia?

You should never lose your apps when you jailbreak. I updated to 5.1 for iPhoto too and all my apps came with

AppSync backs it up to iCloud as a regular app, Im guessing, I havent seen it restore, but the installous apps show up in iTunes

Well yes, I see my Installous apps in iTunes...

But what I'm trying to say is that once I upgrade to 5.1, my jailbreak is completely gone. I would have to wait until 5.1 is jail broken to get my jail broken apps on the iPad again and have them work properly, right?
