| a d ![]() $21,257 | r POWERFUL | And to the thing about us being down since 1999. No thats not true. I know its hard to believe since we haven't even been in an SEC Championship since the Shaun Alexander era, but we have had good teams. People forget that we were 10-2 in 2002 and were by far the 1st place team in the SEC West (beat the sh*t outta LSU but lost to AU) and would've gone to the SEC Championship but we were on probation and as a result Arkansas went. We had alot of really great young players on that team (Brooks Daniels, DeMeco Ryans, Roman Harper, Charlie Peprah, Mark Anderson, Santonio Beard, Wesley Britt, Sam Collins, Brodie Croyle, Gerald Dixon, Shaud Williams, Ray Hudson, Anthony Madison, Triandos Luke, Antwan Odom, Justin Smiley, Freddie Roach) and thats not even going into the recruits they we had coming in for 2003. If Franchione wasnt a fu*king pus*y bi*ch ass piece of dog sh*t then we would've been National Title contenders by the time we were bowl eligible again in '04. Still in '05 we went 9-0 and peaked at #5 until crashing against LSU and Auburn (a result of being just beaten up and hurt by that time. if Brodie Croyle had the offensive line that JP has this year and Prothro not been hurt he would've shattered all kinds of SEC records and we would've been in the NC Title game imo no doubt in my mind.). Again it was senior leadership that lead that team and as a result led us to a big Cotton Bowl game but when they were gone that leadership was gone and it hurt and that showed in '06. And the Saban Era began and the rebuilding process that hasn't been as slow as many (including myself) thought it would be. | |

| a d ![]() $3,155 | r 9055007 | Everything Birdman posted was correct, The booster name was Logan Young out of Memphis. Logan donated alot of $$$ to Alabama, and had a man crush on DLineman. He always said a team could never have too many defensive lineman on a team. Young was facing prison time, but died right before his court date. (he died falling down some stairs in Memphis )Its crazy because Phil was after the same guy, and was doing the same thing, but got on stand and testified against Alabama like he was running a choir boy program. | a d ![]() $3,155 | r 9055007 | The expected group of visitors arriving this weekend for Alabama's home contest with Ole Miss is small, but the quality packs a punch with seven Rivals250 members and several 2010 prospects expected to attend. Alabama will be looking to solidify their chances with one star receiver heavily leaning to the Tide while trying to make a positive impression on a few others on the fence. In addition, the Tide will be hosting three official visitors after bringing in recent South Carolina commit Stephon Gilmore two weeks ago. Bonds back in Tuscaloosa ![]() Bonds will be in town this weekend with his family. Richland Northeast (Columbia, S.C.) defensive end Chris Bonds had rave reviews of his first trip to Alabama back in March for the Tide's Junior Day event. This weekend, Alabama will get a chance to impress the 6-foot-4, 262-pounder in a more formal setting as Bonds arrives with his family for an official visit. Alabama is competing with the likes of South Carolina, Notre Dame and Southern Cal for Bonds's signature. Bonds is recovering from a minor knee injury that required surgery two weeks ago but is expected back in action before the end of the season. **Scott in town for official** Seabreeze (Daytona Beach) safety Jonathan Scott has a lot of suitors competing for his signature, and Alabama will be one of the latest programs with a chance to impress the 6-foot-3, 190-pounder when Scott arrives for his official visit this weekend. Scott recently named Alabama, South Carolina and LSU as his three favorites, but he expressed specific interest in checking out the Tide in recent interviews. Scott has family that have played college football all over the country, including brother Charles Scott who began his career at Ohio State before transferring to Ole Miss and another brother, Kenny Scott, who attended Georgia Tech. **UA looking to sway Robinson** (FICK AU) ![]() When Avon (Ind.) defensive end Montez Robinson committed to Auburn several weeks ago, it was a blow to the Alabama recruiting effort for 2009 as a top-notch pass-rusher is still needed in this class. Luckily for Alabama, Robinson appears to be looking around and one of his first stops will be to the Capstone this weekend on an official visit. Robinson also plans an official trip to Georgia for their contest with Georgia Tech. The 6-foot-5, 235-pounder was named to the Rivals 250 this week, and Robinson has eight sacks on the season so far with his squad preparing for the playoffs this weekend. **Norwood expected in with family** D'Iberville (Miss.) Rivals250 receiver Kevin Norwood has stated for several months now that the Crimson Tide is the team to beat for his services, and this weekend the last hurdle remaining for Alabama's chances to secure his commitment will occur when Norwood brings his mother into town for the visit. Norwood's family has preferred that the 6-foot-3, 195-pounder stay close to home and for awhile many thought that Southern Mississippi was the team to beat. After a positive camp experience this summer and several unofficial visits to Tuscaloosa this fall, however, Norwood has moved Alabama firmly into the lead for his signature. It is thought that once Norwood's mother visits campus and becomes comfortable with the UA coaching staff and the city of Tuscaloosa that his family will likely green-light Norwood's wishes. Ole Miss and Mississippi State are also somewhat in the picture but it is likely that Norwood's decision will come down to Alabama and Southern Mississippi. **Tide will try and turn Atchison** (fu*k AU) ![]() Although Douglass-Atlanta linebacker Jonathan Atchison committed to Auburn several weeks ago, that hasn't stopped the Crimson Tide from pursuing the 6-foot-3, 210-pound speedy defender. Atchison is an Auburn commit who is still taking visits. Atchison has announced that he will continue to keep his recruitment open and has tentative plans to be in Tuscaloosa on Saturday. Alabama was likely Atchison's second choice behind Auburn at the time of his commitment and given the Tigers's recent turmoil, the Tide could capitalize and steal Atchison with a good visit. Several other schools such as Clemson, Florida and Georgia Tech are also thought to be involved with Atchison. **Rivals250 athlete to be in town** (Ole Miss Lock IMO) Tupelo athlete Chad Bumphis has hinted on several occasions that he may be winding his recruitment down, and several schools are fighting hard down the stretch for this versatile playmaker. Alabama should get another shot to impress the Rivals250 member as Bumphis has plans to be in Tuscaloosa on Saturday. Florida, Mississippi State and Ole Miss are thought to be the Tide's top competition, but the Bulldogs's recent struggles haven't helped their chances and Ole Miss is a somewhat newcomer as a serious contender. Expect Bumphis's visit this weekend to go a long way towards the Tide's chances to pick up one of Mississippi's top recruits. **In-state lineman checking out Tide again** ![]() Carver-Montgomery's Brandon Moore is no stranger to Tuscaloosa. The 6-foot-5, 315-pounder has visited the Capstone on numerous occasions and will be at the Alabama-Ole Miss game on Saturday. Moore has picked up a recent offer from Florida, and it is thought that the Gators are the Tide's top competition for his signature. Moore is playing on the offensive line this season for undefeated Carver but Alabama has recruited the jumbo star for the defensive line. **Top juniors expected in Tuscaloosa** Alabama has gotten off to a quick start extended offers to members of the Class of 2010 and several of those top juniors are expected into town. Ariton defensive end Craig Sanders holds nearly ten early offers and has indicated that he will be at the game. Northview (Ga.) defensive lineman Denzel McCoy figures to be one of the top defenders in Georgia for 2010 and McCoy has indicated that he may be in Tuscaloosa this weekend. One of the BOL 2010 Baker's Dozen members is Lincoln running back D.J. Howard. Howard is already hearing from most of the SEC program and is planning on being at his second Alabama home game in row Saturday. The top-ranked player on the early Baker's Dozen list, Springville's Jeremy Richardson, has also indicated that he will be in Tuscaloosa Saturday. Three highly-regarded skill players in-state for 2010 are Fairview quarterback Trett Hardman, Mary-Montgomery athlete JAckie Williams and Gaston running back Demont Buice. All three have early plans to attend Saturday's game. ***Committed players coming to town*** (Welcome Back Guys) A number of Alabama's 2009 committed prospects are expected at Saturday's game, including Andalusia's Nico Johnson, Ridegland receiver Michael Bowman, St. Paul's quarterback AJ McCarron, Sparkman defensive end Anthony Orr, Lee Academy (Miss.) offensive lineman Anthony Steen, Georgia offensive linemen Chance Warmack and Darius McKeller, Athens's defensive end William Ming and Faith Academy defensive back Gerald West. Two uncommitted in-state prospects will also be in attendance. Davidson's Keiron Wilson and St. Paul's Andrew Miller will make the trip from Mobile. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Looks like it going to be another Star Studded Recruiting Scene down in T-Town this weekend. Hopefully I will be down there this weekend for the game.. |

| a d ![]() $21,257 | r POWERFUL | man, this was some fu*kin horsesh*t. played like a dominate team in the 1st half and then played like bullsh*t in the 2nd. ppl needa quit talkin bout National Championships until we can play a complete gotdamn ballgame. we aint played one since the Arkansas game. and i sware if i hear anybody laying this sh*t at the feet of JPW ima gonna have a sh*t fit. dude played good as sh*t, threw two of the prettiest TDs he's every thrown. he had some dropped balls and was herrased the whole second half, the only pick he threw was off a timing route (if u dont know what that is, the QB throws the ball before the receiver makes his break) and since McCoy ran the route like sh*t and got thrown off his route easy as fu*k it got picked. Coffee is one of the most talented backs in the nation but he has ALWAYS had a damn problem with fumbling the fu*king football and if he is going to continue that sh*t just let Ingram pound that motherfu*ker (which is pretty much what they did). GOTDAMN, fu*kin Cody got hurt. sh*t looked bad, anytime that a near 400 Lb. beast tears up its not a good sign. the defense played well for the most part, especially Kareem Jackson, Javier Arenas (tho he got beat on one TD), Justin Woodall, Rashad Johnson, & Don'ta Hightower. Josh Chapman played well on the line when Cody went down but he is not a 3-4 NT. we have got to have Mt. Cody in there for a defense to be as successful as it has been. and plz would the fu*kin kick return/punt return teams give Javier Arenas some motherfu*king blocking one damn time?! sh*t is ridiculous. now im going to go to the fu*king officiating....now, i aint bi*ching or whining but for 2 straight games the officiating has been fu*king horrible. i'm going to point out a few plays of interest... #1: Julio Jones caught a pass and was fu*kin damn near raped and they called the penalty but Julio caught the pass so we declined. on the next drive they did the same sh*t but this time Julio couldn't get to it (with the faggot ass ref right in next to it) and let it go. #2: Marquis Maze got facemasked directly in front of an official and everyone in the damn stands even saw it, no call. #3: Roughing The Passer on i think it was Deadrick (but im not sure) on a damn 3rd Down play, where he literally bumped into the QB. i have seen similar plays and a hell of a lot worse this year get no called but they decide to throw the flag on that one? #4: late in the game Kareem Jackson batted away a pass intended for McCluster in the endzone but as they were coming down McCluster damn near took Kareem's head off by grabbing not only his facemask but actually damn near pulling his helmet off. no call. #5: and BY FAR the worst call of the fu*king game. Marquis Maze poses in the fu*king endzone by crossing his arms and they call a damn excessive celebration on him?! R U fu*kING sh*tTING ME?! WHAT THE fu*k?! i almost threw a damn shoe thru the TV when they called that bullsh*t. i'm done. P.S. ROLL TIDE (still undefeated bitches!) |

| a d ![]() $3,155 | r 9055007 | Went to the game yesterday (Sky Box bi*ches) and i agree with Birdman. We came out in the first half and played BAMA football. Crowd was into the game, and defense was stepping up big time. Coaching staff saw Ole Miss putting 8 inthe box, and were passing alot on 1st down The refs did have some missed calls on Julio (but what else is new) I am not going to fuss over that, because it was still early in the game. 1st half was pretty much smooth sailing for the most part.I dont know what the fu*k, if there are strippers or something inthe locker room, but gotdamn after half time we just come out sluggish. Offense JPW throwning bad passes ( that int was ) It was a safety inthe middle of the field, you don't throw that pass, you MUST check down!!!. Offense were pretty much conservative eating time off clock, but inthe same process Ole Miss Defense was pretty much getting into the game. Defensive line was not putting pressure on Snead ( especially when Cody went out) Cody will be out for UT/Ark St game. Pretty much the same thing that happen to Smitty. Secondary was playing great (except when they were playing 5yds off the WR)*That roughing the passer call on Zo Washington was ass cheeks *Everybody inthe Stadium knew that fake fieldgoal was coming except Woodall ![]() *Although the line didnt block well that play, Coffee has to hold on to the ball Ole Miss was a dangerous team, and if taken lightly will beat your ass. Ole Miss OL & DL is solid. Nutt will have them inthe mix not before long. Props to them kats. |

| a d ![]() $21,257 | r POWERFUL | MRI confirmed it, just a sprain... Nose guard Cody expected to miss two weeks Published: Monday, October 20, 2008 at 1:55 p.m. Last Modified: Monday, October 20, 2008 at 1:55 p.m. TUSCALOOSA | An MRI test confirmed that University of Alabama junior nose guard Terrence Cody only sustained a knee sprain Saturday against Ole Miss. The junior starter is expected to miss two weeks, and then, according to Coach Nick Saban, will be re-evaluated. That could possibly result in his return for the game at LSU on Nov. 8. The injury is similar to what junior left tackle Andre Smith sustained earlier this season. He missed one game. |

| a d ![]() $3,155 | r 9055007 | Alabama defensive lineman Terrence Cody could miss up to three or four weeks after an MRI exam performed on Sunday revealed a medial collateral ligament (MCL) injury, according to a BamaOnLine.com source. T.G. Paschal UA noseguard Terrence Cody is taken off the field after a knee injury Saturday. The 365-pound noseguard, who has been the lynchpin for the nation's fourth-ranked rushing defense, injured his right knee Saturday in a 24-20 Alabama home win over Ole Miss. Early in the third quarter, Cody got his right foot caught under a pile and was pushed backward, causing the injury. He was helped to the sideline by a pair of trainers and examined by noted orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews before being carted off the field. Cody could not be reached, as players are not made available to the media on Sundays. UA coach Nick Saban will likely update Cody's status formally at his regular Monday news conference at noon CST. The source told BOL that no surgery will be required – something Saban suggested may be the case in his post-game news conference – and said the injury is likely an MCL sprain. An MCL injury is typically far less serious than an injury to the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), which can often result season-ending surgery if torn. The projection for Cody's return makes his status for Alabama's crucial game against LSU on Nov.8 uncertain at best. Alabama faces Tennessee and Arkansas State before traveling to Baton Rouge for a game that could be played with the Southeastern Conference's West Division title at stake. The Crimson Tide hosts Mississippi State Nov.15, then has an idle week before hosting Auburn Nov.29. The transfer from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College has 15 tackles and 3.5 tackles for loss to lead the defensive line for the nation's No.2-ranked team. He has consistently drawn double-teaming this season, which has been a major help to an inexperienced group of linebackers. Led by Cody, the Crimson Tide has allowed the fewest rushing touchdowns in the nation this season (one), and is allowing only 66.1 rushing yards per game, fourth in the NCAA behind Texas Christian, Texas and Georgia. A crowd favorite, Cody made his debut at fullback for Alabama Saturday and made the lead block for a 2-yard Mark Ingram touchdown before being injured Saturday. Backup Josh Chapman played most of the second half, and third-team noseguard Nick Gentry also saw some action in Cody's absence. |

| a d ![]() $21,257 | r POWERFUL | ^^ they'll rehab for 2 weeks and then reevaluate him. its the same injury that Smitty had, an MCL strain which is 10 times better for anyone than an ACL, and its that much more better for a big guy to get over. i've strained both and was out longer for the ACL (bout 5 weeks, missed the last half of the season). Smitty missed only one game with it earlier this year if im not mistaken. hopefully TC will be ready for LSU and i think he will be. |
