Former Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele is accusing Planned Parenthood of providing abortions as part of a plot to “eliminate and limit” the African-American population.

“Planned Parenthood was founded by Margaret Sanger, who sought to control the population of the undesirables and black and brown Americans were in her crosshairs,” conservative radio host Laura Ingraham told Steele on Monday. “And somehow we got into a situation — I think a lot of this is the fault of Republicans — where African-Americans are voting in lockstep with a party that supports…”

“Their elimination,” Steele agreed.

“Look at the carnage in New York City alone with black children being aborted,” Ingraham continued.

“You are absolutely right about that,” Steele replied. “And it’s one of those twists of history that I have yet to understand how when you look at something like the NAACP signing up with an organization like Planned Parenthood that has a part of its history and its charter and its existence, you know, the use of abortion to eliminate and limit the number of African-American and other minorities in this country, I — to me, it’s just beyond the pale.”

Anti-abortion activists often misquote the Planned Parenthood founder as saying, “[W]e want to exterminate the Negro population.”

But in full context, the quote has the opposite meaning. In a 1939 letter to pro-birth control advocate Clarence J. Gamble, Sanger argued that black leaders should be involved in the effort to deliver birth control to the black community.

“We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population, and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs,” she wrote (PDF).

A 2011 Guttmacher Institute analysis (PDF) found that only 9 percent of abortion clinics were located in predominately black neighborhoods.

REAL racism at it's core.

And as usual, those w/ sinister ambitions ALWAYS finds look for a few "undesirables" to do their bidding FOR them.

Once the American Eugenics[..]ociation was dissolved, many of the very same people began Planned Parenthood.

That's what they were founded on.

And Blacks weren't the only "undesirables" to them (& their Eugenics[..]ociation).

Keep getting your history from TV shows & the mainstream media, that's more your speed.

Prove what wrong dip!!? That planned parenthood isn't out to destroy black children? Yes the founder of Planned Parenthood believed in eugenics. But that was in the !!ing 30's. If we held what organizations/groups believed in the 30's against them we would have no institutions dating back that far. Since its pretty reasonable to expect beliefs in the 30's may not exactly align with our values today. My point is that planned parenthood isn't out to destroy blacks or undesirables imo.

Which is what I said.

Thanks for proving me right.

And abortion was made official nationwide a mere 30+ years later.

And guess what?

Planned Parenthood was a strong lobbier/proponent of abortion during it's publicity rounds before it was passed & signed into law.

Denying history is always the stepping stone to tyranny.

Even though they were when (and before) they were started.

I know the founder (Margaret Sanger) was for eugenics, so I never intended on proving you wrong on something I know is true. And no one is denying history, I'm just saying it was the 30's and people held some pretty backwards ideas. Does planned parenthood preach that now? No they don't. But I guess that is just them playing the long game to eliminate the black race. Michael Steele is just a right winger sticking to his parties agenda regarding planned parenthood and abortion.

Michael Steele is a piece of garbage, but history proves Steele, the radio host, and Ginsburg right on this one.

I don't want to hear anything PP has to say, especially since they also support Obama and his socialist healthcare (rationing) program.

As for your "playing the long game to eliminate the black race" comment.......

Slow and steady WINS the race (for them).

And don't think Obama is one of us, because his bloodline says different, and he knows that.

Peace.

Lets also not forget to tell them that Aids was actually made to infect black people.

THATS REAL RACISM AND THATS WHAT WE SHOULD BE ADDRESSING. AND THIS IS ALSO IMPORTANT.

He's not lying.

It's a fact that over 30 percent of all abortions are performed on African American women, the highest percentage of any racial demographic by a wide margin.

Cats ignore the history of !! like this, especially within the black community... the community that planned parenthood has had the most detrimental effect on. The irony is that Black people get so caught up in the politics of it all, but fail to see that black life is not valued, but instead politicized by these people, both democratic and republican, liberal and conservative.
