Seriously, people who do that have NO IDEA what happens to their food. I have seen some crazy stuff in my time. Don't think it doesn't happen | ||

| why would I personally pay someone for doing the backbreaking job of refilling a glass of water when I wouldn't be like "oh thanks for removing that tumor doc, here's a $20"? bunch of filthy animals work at restaurants. you'd never hear a mechanic go "oh man that guy didn't tip me well next time I'm going to cut his brake" grow up kids, that's why you work there in the first place because you're uneducated tools. | |

| !! that !!. I will tip will if they do a great job. If not then !! that. Some places have the nerve to require an 18% tip. They even add an extra line that asks if you want to add more on top of that! I usually tip really well for people who take their time and know how to bring quality to the table. Besides waiters, waitresses, and even bussers make a !! ton more than you think they do. Up here in Washington some of the workers I know make the min. which is 9.25/hr plus tip. On an average 5 hour shift on a weekday they will walk out with 50 - 70 bucks. So lets say they get 60 so with 5 hours they get 46.25 + the 60 which is 106.25. Divide that by 5 and thats 21.25. And on the weekends they usually make upwards to 160 - 200 alone. If you are a waiter/waitress and cannot make this then its not the customers, its you. | |

| if anybody should be getting a tip it should be the chef...$2.50/hour seems about right for a server, literally all they do is carry peoples food to their tables cant wait until these !!ing idiots are replaced by robots. Last edited by surreyjack; 06-23-2012 at 05:39 AM.. | |

| If u got to worry and cry over 15-20$, stay your[..] home and feel better with that 20$.... Especially if they give excellent service and u still stiff them, damn I hope ur mom gets a blow out doing 90 on the freeway... If service sucks, fell free to do whatever... I valet at a casino, so I know how !! goes, lot of cheap !!s, then I got a guy that comes in and drops 300$ on the way in and 500$ when he leaves... But people don't realize that servers make really decent money.. I pull in about 65-70k a year........ But that's no more [pic] | |

| For those that want premium service do it the old fashion way, put the money on the table and for every time you think the service sucks you take a dollar off the table. The waiter gon move that[..]. | |

| At a lot of places, when you don't tip, the server actually loses money. They have to pay a percentage of their sales for that day to the est@blishment. !!ed up, but its true. You run up a $100 tab and don't tip, that server just had to pay $3.00 to wait on your broke, needy[..] for an hour. Happens all the time. BUT, Most of the people who don't tip in here just get profiled anyway. Waiters know non-tippers 90% of the time when they see them. Call it profiling, but its statistics in that business. You learn real quick who is and who isn't going to tip you. You spend your time accordingly. Yeah you might misjudge here or there, but the majority of the time you are spot on. Most waiters are not as dumb as you think they are. In fact, they pull home more money than 75% of the people in here. Its a good grind. You just gotta be laid back with the ability to put up with a lot of dumb, ignorant, rude people throughout the day. And if you frequent an est@blishment on a regular basis and don't tip then you are retarded. Your food is getting !!ed with 50% of the time guaranteed. Your !! just got dropped on the floor, oh well. Charge it to the game. Was that a dirty spoon in your drink, oh well. Charge it to the game. Like you said, a bunch of filthy animals work in food service. Half the cooks in these types of places are fresh out of jail. They don't give a !! and neither do those servers who you have already stiffed. If you don't tip because of bad service, just remember those people handle your food | |

| I understand why she was tight though, people need to understand when you go out to eat you are expected to leave a generous tip. If your server gives you your food properly, and is courteous tip that nicca man. I dont think ive ever tipped less than 10 dollars while out to dinner. Its rare that you meet horrible servers, truth... Calculate 15% and add 5 dollars to it is what you should do. If you go out have extra money FOR THE TIP. Black people go out and never have money for the tip. I cant tell you how many times i gone out with people who tip shiit, and ive had to put up more for the tip. STOP NOT TIPPING PROPERLY! | If the service is good then I usually tip 25% and write a thank you with the servers name to let them know that their excellent service is appreciated and didn't go unnoticed. If the service is bad I usually leave a 10% - 12% tip and I usually throw it on the floor for them to pick up. u feel that with !!ty service you're still entitled to a tip? Fine, but you'll have to bend over like a stripper and work to get it. If the service is just ok I usually leave 15% - 18% which I still feel is plenty, it's not hard to carry a plate of food and a drink to someone. In all honesty restaurants could survive and even profit without servers, servers are just a convienece [pic] Last edited by DeathStar; 06-23-2012 at 08:15 AM.. | |
