Drug task force arrests 60 By Josh Krysak, Herald-Standard

The Fayette County Drug Task Force, in conjunction with other law enforcement agencies in Fayette County, conducted what officials called the largest drug sweep in the county's history Monday.

Fayette County District Attorney Nancy D. Vernon said officers from across the region secured warrants for the arrest of 100 Fayette County residents and noted that more than 60 warrants were served during the sweep Monday morning.

Members of the task force and the state police Troop B Vice Unit said they secured the warrants after more than a year of investigation.

The sweep, which was staged at the Uniontown Police Station on Penn Street, started around 7:30 a.m., with five teams canvassing separate areas of the county and serving warrants for the suspects.

Of the warrants issued, more than 90 percent included felony charges of possession with intent to deliver drugs or delivery of drugs, Vernon said.

"I would classify the majority of these suspects as mid-level to major dealers," Vernon said.

The Uniontown police station turned into base camp for dozens of police officers and undercover agents working on the sweep, with stations set up throughout the department on Penn Street to quickly and efficiently book the suspects.

Teams of officers received packets of information regarding the suspects they were searching for, and after a successful capture, each team would arraign the suspect at the appropriate district magistrate's office and then return to the police station to take mug shots and fingerprint them.

Officers also used the station's holding cells, interrogation rooms and patrol room to process the suspects, who were then marched across Penn Street to the Fayette County Prison.

Vernon said the sweep should send a clear message to the drug dealers still working in the county.

"The message has been the same for the last eight years," Vernon said. "If you want to sell drugs - don't do it here."

According to Vernon, more than two dozen warrants were issued for charges related to crack cocaine and 20 warrants were issued in regards to cocaine.

Other drugs being used and sold in the county by the 100 suspects include heroin, Oxycodone, Vicodin, morphine, methamphetamine, mushrooms and steroids.

The names I highlighted in the 2nd post are ni##as I know personally or fukked with. I'm being told a few more of my ni##as are on the run now. It's the main reason I moved. I saw something like this coming down the road. It's a good thing they're cleaning up the hood, even though I don't want to see my ni##as get pinched. But all of this is just grandstanding if they don't put some jobs in the area. Shiit is getting rough around there. They busted last year & got about 40 people. Glad I bounced, but tough to see ni##as I know get pinched.

It was all good just a week ago. This makes me think of the end of American Gangster where ever body got baged. Someone had to snitch. That many "mid level to major dealers getting baged at once. Somethings fishy. That's a lot of money off the streets so the police should be expecting some overtime.

It's all people from about a 15/20 mile radius. Because of how small it is, you could drive from one end (Connellsville) to the other (Fayette City) in about 45 mins. They suckin ni##as up left & right. My cousin said it's like a ghost town @ the crib now. And it's dry as the Sahara. Ain't even no smoke.
