If you knew anything about the 2nd Amendment and why it was put there you'd know it's meant to be the public's last resort against tyranny, the people who wrote it have explained this.

I know you have been taught to believe that something like that "could never happen in a great nation like the USA," but that is exactly what the 2nd Amendment is about, to give the people at least some sort of fighting chance if ever facing some sort of tyrannical dictatorial takeover. But I know you're still rolling your eyes because that "could never never ever happen in America," right?

If the government ever clamped down on the people in total dictatorship throwing people into concentration camps and the whole nine yards (hopefully it never happens), the citizens will obviously want to fight back.

In a situation like this would you rather have your local militia strapped up with automatic rifles and shotguns or strapped up with sticks and stones? Should be a no-brainer. You though, for some reason would want to make it difficult as possible to have any chance at all.

If someone in that movie theater had a gun on them they could have shot that !! and ended it before more people got hurt, but you actually want the people to be unarmed and helpless so that wouldn't even be possible in your world. You actually think that making guns illegal would keep them out of the hands of sick !!s who do things like shoot up a movie theater. NEWSFLASH: They will get the guns even if they're illegal.

The suspected Colorado movie mass murker was a loner and a medical school dropout who described himself last year as “quiet and easy-going” on a rental application.

James Holmes, 24, withdrew abruptly last month from the University of Colorado Medical School, spokeswoman Jacque Montgomery said Friday.

She did not know what prompted his decision just weeks before Holmes snapped, k!lling a dozen people and wounding at least 50 others.


The suspect, who came to Colorado from California, lived in a third-floor apartment in the Denver suburb of North Aurora — about four miles from the theater where the k!llings occurred.

Neighbors told the Denver Post that Holmes was a reclusive type who ignored other residents when they said hello

“No one knew him,” one neighbor told the newspaper. “No one.”

He booby-trapped the apartment before making the drive to the crowded theater filled with a midnight crowd for “The Dark Knight Rises.”

Holmes also left the same song playing on repeat inside his home, where a poster of Will Ferrell from the movie “Anchorman” hung in the kitchen.

In an online rental application last year, Holmes described himself as a “quiet and easy-going medical student,” the Post reported. He was reportedly seeking his Ph.D. in neuroscience.

Holmes, who wore a gas mask during his attack, was not a military veteran and had no ties to any terrorist groups, officials said.

He moved into the brick apartment building in May 2011, the Post reported. His neighbors were evacuated in the hours after the k!llings due to the risk from explosives believed housed there.

Holmes still has family in San Diego, where his mother was awakened early Friday with word of the bloody Aurora, Colo., rampage.
