The parents of Florida teen Trayvon Martin, whose shooting [rip] has made headlines since February, will be in Little Rock next week for a civil rights breakfast.

The 17-year-old was gunned down by a neighborhood crime watchman who said he shot the unarmed teen in self defense. George Zimmerman is facing a murk charge in the case.

Tracy Martin and Sybrina Fulton will speak on July 24th at a civil rights breakfast being held during a meeting of the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE).

The two-hour event begins at 8AM in Salon B of the Peabody Grand Ballroom.

The National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE) was one of the first organizations to reach out to the Martin family to offer guidance and support. Martin and Fulton are attending the event to express their appreciation for NOBLE's support in seeking justice and helping communities to heal.

Former Mayor Lottie H.Shackelford, a Little Rock native and first woman elected mayor of Little Rock, Arkansas will be the keynote speaker at the breakfast.

Dr. Jocelyn Elders, former United States Surgeon General under the Clinton administration will receive one of NOBLE's highest civil rights awards for her commitment and service to the American people. Keith Jackson, Little Rock native and National Football League legend (played for Philadelphia Eagles, Miami Dolphins and Green Bay Packers) will receive an award for the organization he founded, P.A.R.K. (Positive Atmosphere Reaches Kids); an organization that

provides "high risk" students the opportunity to further their education by completing high school so they can attend college. Awards will also be presented to the legacy of the Little Rock Nine and Dr. William "Sonny" Walker for his tireless efforts in the civil rights movement. Ms. Elizabeth Eckford, one of the original Little Rock 9 will be in attendance at the breakfast to receive the award for the legacy of the Little Rock 9.
