| By Ahmed - 01-10-2013, 06:36 AM - Boxden > BX Daily Bugle - news and headlines [pic] On Wednesday, the White House responded to the highly-publicized petition to its website regarding Piers Morgan’s deportation as requested by more than 100,000 signatures of U.S. citizens. The White House defended Piers Morgan’s freedom of speech regarding his past and current unpopular comments about gun control in the United States. With this somewhat-vindication to his freedom of speech, Piers Morgan - the host of “Piers Morgan Tonight” on cable television - will not be forced to return to his homeland of the United Kingdom for criticizing America's Second Amendment. Prior to the petition being written last month, conservative talk show host Morgan was a harsh critic of the United States’ gun policies. He voiced his strong opinions against the nation’s gun laws after the ma#sacre in Newtown, Connecticut at Sandy Hook Elementary School which occurred on Dec. 14, 2012. The White House defended Piers Morgan in a press release titled “When Discussing the Second Amendment, Keep the First in Mind Too”. As a follow-up to White House Press Secretary Jay Carney’s message in which he foreshadowed a victory for Morgan, on Wednesday Jay Carney wrote “Let’s not let arguments over the Constitution’s Second Amendment violate the spirit of its First”. The Examiner FACTS & FIGURES In 2011 - the latest year for which detailed statistics are available - there were 12,664 murks in the U.S. Of those, 8,583 were caused by firearms. The Guardian The U.S. has the highest gun ownership rate in the world - there are 89 guns for every 100 Americans, compared to 6 in England and Wales. The number of FBI background checks required for Americans buying guns set a record in December. The FBI said it recorded 2.78 million background checks during the month, surpa#sing the mark set in November of 2.01 million checks - about a 39 percent rise. Chicago Tribune People who carry guns are far likelier to get shot - and k#lled - than those who are unarmed, according to a 2009 study of shooting victims in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Over a million people have been k#lled with guns in the United States since 1968, when Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Robert F. Kennedy were[..]a#sinated. bradycampaign.org PressTV - White House won't deport Piers Morgan |

| As always... Got it love the right and the conservatives of this nation. They can say anything about anyone and disrespect anyone because as they always state "it's in the constitution and their right to freedom of speech". Now, if someone goes against their belief and says anything that contradicts their point of view, now all of the sudden the constitution is out the window and either they have to be thrown out the country or they belong in jail or they ought to be dead (I'm referring to the white instructor that has advised gun owners to start k#lling if there are more gun restrictions... And this is coming from a "responsible citizen" that the NRA portrays its members to be). Got it love conservatives and their hypocrisy. | |

And that's what Piers wanted. He didn't try to counter any of his arguments. He just used Jones' emotion as a talking point to make him seem crazy. (which is common for anyone who refuses to believe these "conspiracy theories". Just call 'em crazy instead of proving them wrong. And after, him and his little cheerleading boyfriend continued to talk about Jones' emotion as opposed to any of the points he made. Gossiping like some little girls [pic] | ||

| What the hell is this story? A joke or not? I laughed when I saw the headline, cause Piers likes to smell his own farts, but is this a real thing? What exactly did he say about gun control? A quote would be nice I have no idea whats goin on with this !! hah. Its gotta be at least a semi-joke no? | |
