For those of you having some support for Hugo Chavez do you even know how much he has f*ed up Venezuela. Government 'checks and balances' has nearly been obliterated under his rule alongside his PSUV peers. Freedom of speech and expression are non-existent. Workers rights have been highly controlled (as expected under a socialist government). Not to mention human rights organizations have been outlawed via Chavez's policies.

Then there's the fact that violence has shot up drastically since he become leader. The rampant crimes are another method of control as the only ones doing anything are security forces with ties to the government. Though they usually target the innocent.
