LEWISVILLE, Texas -- Lewisville police were called to help capture a kangaroo that escaped from a veterinarian's home and hopped loose in a heavily populated neighborhood on Sunday.
Dash cam video showed officers hot on the trail of the kangaroo as it maneuvered through many streets and yards at about 4:15 p.m., reported KXAS-TV in Dallas.
After about 20 minutes, police captured the 60-pound kangaroo in a homeowner's back yard.
An officer grabbed the kangaroo's tail and held him until he was returned to the veterinarian.
