People in here know damn well they wouldn't accept anything at 13 or their current age with that many rules and regulations. Some of the points are good but its excessive. It's just showing they can be controlling as parents. That's only going to last for 2-3 more years if that, before that kid starts to rebel.

If they want him to learn responsibility and all that they should give him a phone without all those features since he's not going to be using 99% of the ones that come with the iphone anyways. If he could follow the basic rules they laid out then upgrade him to a better phone since he proved he could handle it. He only wanted it because other kids have it and what they're using it for. He can't even use it for those purposes.

That shouldn't be his focus at his age anyway. His priority should be an education. Once he's educated he won't have to worry about women, they will seek him out because he'll have more money than the fools who didn't learn anything chasing behind hoodrats.

I agree there should be limitations on a 13 year old but this is just ridiculous. Why even give him a phone in the first place? Might as well not even go thru the hassle.

A lot of the "rules" aren't even rules but more controlling ways of how he should function or act. Dude can't listen to certain type of music, "don't take photos or vids of everything"..??

Just get the kid a prepaid phone and call it a day. The stupid set of rules pretty much eliminate the purpose of having the phone in the first place. The reason I'd want my kid to have his phone in school would be so I could reach him if anything happens.

Was expecting this to be way worse. Those shouldn't be iPhone rules tho most are just growing up and acting right rules. Few crazy ones like she'll always kno password, don't completely take away his privacy.

All in all I'd say a pretty decent mother who loves her kid and wants what's best for him.

My daughter is 14, and we don't rules that strict but we have them in place because these days with technology kids been in some bull!! so you have to lay down the law with phones. I don't have to be so strict with her because she knows plain and simple she !!s up the phone is bye bye and phones are those kids' life-they'll literally will do whatever it takes to not get their phone taken away from them. Plus, you can set parental limits on their contract/line-my daughter's text/calls are systemically stopped at 10pm and anyone who tries to call or text gets a message saying the person they are trying to reach is not available at that time.
