Life instead of 17 years? How about we should've k#lled his[..] same day. murk rate is so damn high because the consequences are so low. You telling me if we k#lled on site for a undisputed guilty conviction, the murk rate wouldn't decrease. Mother!!ers know they can k#ll someone, hang ou with their "homies" for 20 years, getting 3 meals a day and learning more crooked !! from their fellow inmates, and then get released. There's no fear of k#lling anymore.

And there's no way it was obtained legally... Making it harder for law abiding citizens to obtain weapons won't stop criminals from obtaining them. They already don't follow the law, so how would more gun laws stop that.

The problem is two fold. 1. you don't know who is a criminal and who isn't when selling someone a gun. No past history of crime doesn't guarantee a future without committing crime. 2. People buying guns illegally are buying the same exact guns people buy legally. It's not like the movies where illegal guns are being shipped from other countries no, they are made and manufactured right here. laws could prevent manufactures from making guns for criminals.

The laws were different then. You've got a lot of people in NY that went up for murk in the 80's that are coming home now. Drug-related murks from that era especially. They'd most likely die in prison for the same crimes now.
