Fox News had one burning question to raise after Gabby Douglas' gold medal performance at the women's gymnastics individual all-around competition in London: how is the athlete showing her patriotism if her uniform lacks stars and stripes?

On last week's "America Live," guest-host Alisyn Camerota discussed how "some folks" noticed that the "famous flag-styled outfits" of Olympics past were replaced by "yellow shirts, grey track suits and pink leotards" at the London games. Camerota and her guest, Sirius/XM radio host David Webb, took particular focus on Douglas' outfit.

"You know, Gabby had that great moment, and everyone was so excited, and she's in hot pink -- and that's her prerogative," Camerota said. Webb, who hosts a program on Sirius/XM's "Patriot" channel, wondered, "What's wrong with showing some pride?" He likened the uniform choice to a "kind of soft anti-American feeling that Americans can't show their exceptionalism." Camerota pointed out how other nations, like China, wore nationalistic colors.

"We're a very nationalistic nation," Webb said of America. "But we've also lost over time that jingoistic feeling."

I swear man FOX is such garbage, If she had shot someone it would be all over FOX news and they would be basically praising what she did. Instead FOX picks out the one thing that they consider wrong as use it against her.

Why single her out? She wasn't the only American athlete that didn't wear the stars and stripes. One of the girls on the swim team was wearing pink the night they broke the world record in one of the relay events.

Fox hates successful Black people.... They are the epitome of the White man's feeling of entitlement. If White people aren't part of the success they try to minimize its impact. Petty !!.

But what you have to understand is media ownership has a lot to do with it.

It's not necessarily Fox the channels fault. It's the bias behind the scenes which decides what gets shown and what doesn't. They're obviously known for their conservative bias.

But any media outlet is going to be governed by it's ownership. That's why I graduated with a ma#s media degree and am now a graphic designer lol. Because I despise all ma#s media. Local news and even national news like MSNBC is complete !!.

Almost every news story originates from the[..]ociated press. So it's the same homogenized bull!! you see on every other station. Just with their own little slant to it. It's pathetic.

It's not just fox news, it's the local news, cnn, etc.

Keeping all the real news from us and letting us argue about social issues, fried chicken and celebrity gossip. Also pumping our brains with war propaganda, never fails!

Because it's Fox News. None of the girl gymnasts had "patriotic" uniforms, I'm pretty sure they all wore purple during the team competition

fox is just trolling as always. its what they do best. im surprised no documents have leaked saying that they're just doing this to keep people's attention off of the real topics. !! is blatantly obvious at this point.

The fact that they consistently get the highest ratings out of all of the news channels speaks volumes about this dumbed-down country of ours.
